Boy, 15, invents simple, cheap test for pancreatic cancer
Wow, way to go 15 year old Jack Andraka. Well all I can say is this article leaves me wanting to know more about this kid.
http://now.msn.com/now/0521-cancer-t...?ocid=todnow11While most teenage boys are inventing new ways to annoy each other and their parents, 15-year-old Maryland schoolboy Jack Andraka has been busily pioneering a new way to test for pancreatic cancer. Andraka was awarded first prize at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for his dipstick sensor which can test blood or urine to see if someone has early-stage pancreatic cancer. His patent-pending test has proved to be more than 90 percent accurate, and 28 times cheaper and 1000 times more sensitive than existing tests for the disease. Sounds like he definitely deserved the fair's $75,000 prize money.

Me too. How could a 15 year old possibly have both the knowledge and access to technology to invent such a test?

I congratulate him and only wish him well and that he gets good guidance from honest, trustworthy people who won't take advantage of him.

Well, this just pans out my belief that we all just get dumber as we age, and kids are the smartest people of all. So while we're on the subject, have you seen this?
