A list has been compiled of alternative mechanisms of evolution than the usually known ones promoted by the modern synthesis, you can read the full list here (both physical and metaphysical listed). http://www.takeondarwin.com/index.p...catid=21:evolution-outsiders-modern&Itemid=14 On the list is there any you would advocate?
How the hell can you evaluate a book based on a 3 or 4 word description? Most of them look bogus, but that is a 60,000 foot overview. I suggest you buy all of the books, read them and give a synopsis for each on this thread.
None of them look like they represent scientific views backed by peer-reviewed science. Many of the topics have been peer-reviewed and rejected as contradicted by observation.
Not meant to be an evalutation, the table shows what mechanism the book is advocating. I wouldn't say none... see symbiosis and molecular drive.. both got many peer reviews etc.. I agree theres lots of silly ideas on the list though, got a bit carried away!.
