Is it possible that the human races evolved separate from eachother?, as I understand it this was a popular belief up until around 1920, it was called polygenism. This may be seen as outdated now, but some of these ideas have merged themselves into the multiregional hypothesis, this model allows some gene flow, so there wouldnt be total separation? or could there be? what if the human races evolved from completey different ancestors?

That depends on what you mean. All the races are descended from modern humans. The races have clearly been isolated from each other for a relatively short period of time and developed relatively minor differences.

I think the original 1920s was probably a racist thing.

You can read about it here:

Geographer claims the races evolved from different ancestors

In a paper widely trumpeted and due for release in book form, Akhil Bakshi, the leader of a recent major scientific expedition supported by India’s prime minister, claims that “Negroid”, “Caucasian” and “Mongoloid” peoples are not only separate races but separate species, having evolved on different continents.

Theres lots of interesting finds in Asia, there was a 1.8 million-year-old hand axe found in Malaysia which challenges the out of africa theory.
