    Occupational distribution

Help! I just came across this question:
A review of occupational distribution of population from time to time help help us to know the A. rate at which the population grows B. number of people that make up the labour force C. effciency of the working population D. industries which are becoming less important E. number of people that are not employed.
Any person who has an idea about the question should do well by bringing it in; let's discuss it. Thank you as you reply.

As for me am looking at B, the number of people that make up the labour force. Though am in doubt because the answer provided at the back page of the book am working with has a contrary view. What do you think?
