Blood donation is a badly paid job.
$25 per 1/2 litre in the US, I hear.

Crack addicts should form a Union.
    Slogan:
    Give us our blood back,
or pay us more to buy some crack.

(I'm still working on the slogan)

I know, I was just trying to be nice. But surely he could do better than psychics and being desperate for a girl. There's a reason why he can't get a woman. Women want men with status or men that have the determination to greatly improve their status. He's what... 28 I think? He's in the prime of his life and he lives in this delusional world that some woman is going to throw herself at him. Honestly, he needs to stop watching porn, stop jerking off (both his cock and his lifestyle), and get out in to the real world.

Why does it seem like your only goals are making money, or the only thing you are worried about achieving.

Good point. Job sanctification goes a long way to being able to achieve life satisfaction. If he wants a girl in his life, he should do things that allow him to maximize the joy in his life. So far it's money, "I suck at math," and the desire for slutty girls.

I'm glad I'm not in his shoes.

no matter how much i try to not have 'money' be the focus of my existence, the world demands that i do, IE the bills will not get paid if i don't have a focus on money, without it i do not have food, clothing, shelter.

as much as i would like to delete the root of all evil, the alternatives are just as susceptible to humanities perversions.

Money is of concern up to a point. DZ is single and has no children. To cover the bare necessities of life, he doesn't require much at all. $30,000 would suffice.

Needing money to support you're life (and any dependents) is important. Anything above that is lifestyle. I'd be happier making $30,000/year and being able to easily support my life than I would making $100,000/year barely being able to cover the bills.

I see it all the time... I live around a lot of people that make tons of money. In general, they are less happy than those that make less money.

i think ppl without money are happier cause they accept that they do not have money,so they find other things to do to make them happy, ppl with money tend to focus of what they can buy to make them happy, which is only temporary,

you may cite friends, ppl without money have a higher quality friend, as opposed to those who have money, who have to question whether their friends are only there in hopes that some of that money will come to them.

Keeping up with the Joneses is a way of life for many people everywhere and they never achieve that goal for the Joneses are multi millionaires while they that try to keep up are only making ends meet.

I recommend Bertrand Russell's The Conquest of Happiness. The first half of the book dicusses the causes of unhappiness. The chapter "Competition" goes into this very thing. Basically he says that that to move up the ladder (for status, money, whatever), we tend to get stuck on a treadmill that we don't even notice. While it feels like we are getting somewhere, we aren't. That's because we place far too much emphasis on competition as a source of happiness all while sacrificing other sources of happiness.

Very true and that train of thought will continue on until all of the earths resources are gone unfortunately.

Or anywhere near him. What an insufferable whiner! He would rather complain about how bad his life is than take control of it and make it better.

He has all those advantages. Supportive parents, opportunities, good intelligence, computer skills. Yet he insists on being a loser. And he expects sympathy??? He's been whining about how bad his life is for at least four years, and he has never done anything about it. He avoids every opportunity to move forward.

My mother-in-law is 94, nearly blind, can't walk unassisted, and has too many medical problems to live anywhere except a nursing home. I have a dear friend who is dying of cancer, but very slowly and painfully. I know a non-career musician who got drunk one night and let a very mature-looking 17-year-old seduce him after a gig; he's now on the "sex offender" list and can't get a job. And the millions of people in Libya, Afghanistan, Ivory Coast, Burma, Iran, Tibet, and elsewhere.

These are the people I feel sorry for. DZ, on the other hand, should just kick himself in the butt and go out and make something of his life. Or at the very least, STOP WHINING!

We don't get to complain about troubles that we bring on ourselves--especially by inaction and procrastination.

That's an illusion that they very carefully cultivate.

Sure, but if he actually got the slutty girls we might feel differently!

Well, he obviously receives some sort of benefit from complain and doing nothing about it. If he didn't, he'd do something else.

Has it really been that long? Wow.

The high income earners or those that make much less than them? Granted, the very poor aren't likely to be very happy. But for everyone else that makes enough money to live comfortably if they so choose to do so, generally aren't. Many of them are stuck in a never-ending rat race. But those that are near the top have more to lose. The happiest (or, if you like, the least of the unhappy) are, in my experience, those that live well below their means and find other ways to give meaning to their lives.

I learned this saying a while back: Sluts are girls that will sleep with any man. A bitch is a girl that will sleep with any man except you.

Sadly, he can't even get a slut to sleep with him. The thing is, sluts are girls with severe self-esteem issues. In general, men do the chasing while girls do the choosing. A girl with low self-esteem doesn't have many options, so she gives it up to almost any guy that comes along. The fact that he can't even get a low self-esteem girl says A LOT about darkie. Not even they will choose him if he had the balls to chase them.

Ultimately, any man worth 2 cents wants a girl with high self-esteem. But the only way for a man to get one is to have high self-esteem himself. The way to obtain that is to do things foster self-confidence outside of women. This is done by finding sociable things he's passionate about and learning how to get good at them.
