is the only stable and fair political system. However, are there countries that do not have democracy and are still managed fairly and successfully?

In todays political arena there are no forms of government that are "fair" and stable that I'm aware of. While some governments do seem to do better than others they all have their flaws and corruption its just a matter of to what extent. At least with Democracy you can remove those in office every 2 to 4 years if you don't like them but in other types of governments you can't. There's also freedom of owning your own land, speech and right to bear arms which few other forms have established.

Are we really taught that??? If so, that's too bad. What we should be taught is that Democratic nations are better at self correcting relative to non-Democratic nations (who have to resort to violence of one kind or another).

Both systems are unstable and unfair. It's really about being self-correcting. See, we stopped having that option when we handed our freedoms over to an unelected Federal Chairman who can set the price of money at will. Why would a Democratic people do this? Well, maybe because people, sucking as much as they do, prefer stable to fair. Sure, they're going to get neither, but, people are pretty f*cking dumb so whatchyagonnado? What they really secretly WANT is to live under an authoritarian alpha-male telling them what to do all day long. Then they can manage to think even less than they do already (which isn't much). I'd even argue people are getting trapped deeper and deeper in our language creating ever more layers of bullshit to live under. Meh.... I digress.

    In short
    Rule #1: Sheeple likes thems a Farmer-man.
Rule #2: Sheeple will eat feed pellets and lick Mr. Farmer-man's hand even as their being led to the Promised Land/Slaughter house for the Slaughter.

That's the nature of People. They're dumb-ass sheep. AS we speak, the Farmer is sharpening the ax, you can expect to be Slaughtered soon

    Self-correcting, very inciteful!!!!!

Aww so wealth, if the they can hand out the candy, the people will behave? Are there any countries without wealth who run well without democracy?

The United States runs pretty well without democracy! It is a Republic. That form of government is also fair for the most part.

A Democracy is when the people decide policies, such as in town hall meetings. A Republic is when elected officials decide policies.

How come I am the first person to say this after 6 answers.

Yes, most people mean Republic when they say Democracy. We've probably be better off with a Democracy in many ways.
