    Is Wild Game Organic?

Wild game doesn't qualify for the organic label.

Even if it was, it is wild animals you're talking about. So it's really irrelevant whether or not wild game meat deserves the organic label.
I do not know how to reply to this any more than I already have. Can someone clarify for me why wild game would or wouldn't be considered organic?

I've done work with organic produce (not the animal killing kind btw).

Anything that wears the "certified organic" label has to be backed up by paperwork that shows what ingredients went into the production (so for instance, fertilizers that went in to the ground, what was grown where and when etc all of which are done on a tract of land that has been licensed as organic - ie tested and given the all clear).

I recall a friend used to collect bunya nuts from rainforests but who couldn't give them an official "organic" label since he didn't have the paperwork

so organic is about paperwork and not the actual raising of the product?

its about paperwork to legislate and authoritatively give credibility to the organic industry - otherwise you would have sellers going down to the supermarket to buy tomatoes at $2/kg and selling it organic at $7/kg

so in Bolivia they aren't eating organic meat unless its got a certificate? African bush meat isn't organic?

    "certified organic"?
I doubt it - but then the whole thing is more about accountable production and commerce.

If you are growing tomatoes in your back yard and you follow a few rules there is a good chance that they are organic (provided you don't live near a lead smelter or your house isn't built on land previously used for non-organic agriculture.

For instance many olive farmers in spain clicked on to the fact that they are growing olives organically (and have been doing so for 100's of years) and got the label literally over night.

I also recall one banana farmer who let his plantation go by the way side for a few years because he couldn't afford all the fertilizers. People caught news of it and started coming to him since theye where after "chemcial free" bananas - now he has a financially lucrative organic banana business.

The key phrase is 'considered organic'. If this means can be certified by some certifying organization, than I think it varies. But if it means free from pesticides, etc., well it depends, but the chances are very good.

There are certainly good drivers in Kenya who do not have driver's licences.

I am sure there are people out there functioning very well as psychologists and helping people, but who also lack credentials.

Oh please, spare me the "the sky is falling" routine, it's gotten old. Massive dieoffs like that are actually quite common. Remember way back at the beginning of the year? About how three thousand fish just up and died in one night? Happens all the time.

In fact they're common enough that they're often not even taken seriously by authorities as the cause is virtually always natural.

If it is "wild" then it must be.

It is called Green wash Sponge pants .
Not even salmon in Alaska can be green washed . Things like the same old windows before the green label of Energy star was slapped on them are able to be green washed . You got to be able to green wash it to make it organic . Wash it with some soy-lent green wash and good to go . Good old fashion elbow grease of filling out mountains of paper till your hand falls off. Don't eat your hand when it falls off . Not until you file the paperwork . You will have to higher an assistant for that with missing a hand , but what the hey you created a job for some schmo

black bird singing in the dead of night take this broken wings and learn to fly .

Those birds dropped for Bebelina . She knows they did and she knows why they did . Your out of the loop bro . Your swarm knowledge is lacking this information . That is what happened . I told here something in her ear real quite like and she didn't believe Me so well Birds flew over the rainbow just to tell her I was not lying . Called her by name even . Wow it blew my mind as I am positive it blew her mind too . You would have to be Me or Her to appreciate the irony of it all . What I thought was funny was the eagle that flew right into a Chinese guy as it dropped dead . A single eagle falling out of the sky and so lucky to flop dead right on 1 person . Yeah all right at the same time increment of all the animals dropping mysteriously . How bout then Antelope in China? See you don't believe me and think I make all this shit up . I ain't that smart . Serendipitous as Dwy says . The Mother Goddess is trying to tell you something . She been screaming at Me to get you all to understand . She is Mean like that . She yells at Me a lot . Only cause she loves Me

    It depends on the environment...

I live about 15 miles from a site that leaks dioxins, which is in the tidal reach of a local river. I do mean literally in the river, it's a built up sandbar that juts out into the water and was used for repairing barges.

Now, even though there are signs all over the place about how one is not supposed to eat the crabs directly downriver of this merrily leaking toxic waste site, you see a small crowd of people out there crabbing every night. Wild game, yep. Not so organic.

If you want your wild game to be healthful, I guess you had better take care of the environment, now, hadn't you?

see that is the thing . Can anything on the earth be considered organic in the strictest sense ? Radiation in Milk ? P.B.C.s in fish . Mercury in fish at high elevations were humans don't even go ? Explain that one . Acid rain plant life ? Air what about that ? Is Air organic and if not what you think the plants at an organic farm think of that ? How bout plant life sequestering green house carbon . Oh you gonna keep that from the farm . More paper work oo to do it

I don't like the way the greenies are misusing the word "organic." After all, plastic is organic because petroleum is organic!

I don't like the way much of the food industry, from McDonald's to Pillsbury misused the word 'food'. But what can we do?
