I would appreciate if someone can help me find the chemical equation for the item Palm Fatty Acid Distillation.
    Thanks in advance.

palm fatty acid distillation sounds more like a process than an equation.
it seems you would need to know the melting point rather than the equation.

Yes, a distillation is a method of separating mixed liquids.
    There isn't an equation.

Do you mean palm oil, or already split acid from palm oil ?

Why do you want to distill fatty acid, is it for separation purpose ?

Because if you heat fatty acid in air you will decompose it , so you might try to distill it under vacuum.

at atmospheric pressure it boils at 352 C

Unsure you want the equation, as none exists for this.

    Are you after molecular formula?...

Distillation does not change the molecular formula.

Here is the whole chemical mixture -
Palm Fatty Acid Distillation + Calcium Oxide + BHT + Water
So what would this equation be?

BHT/OH would not react if there are no free radicals, CaO would be soluble in the pfad, and

    Umm.

    Okay i give up..

    You'd get goop

Can you explain the concept of saponification?

If the entire reaction is exposed to the air?
