    German High Court Wardrobe

Sorry. I couldn't find the right sub-forum to put this in. But, REALLY???? Is the German High Court located at Hogwarts? WTF is with the hats?

    I know I'm being culturally um . . . what's the word? But, um . . . WTFFFFFF!?

    Really?

Yeah. As I said, I'm being a little prejudiced. I can't find any reason for the gaudy sartorial choices of the German High Court. Those nations with the Westminster System have a long history of wearing dumb wigs (which, BTW, I'm no less inclined to like).

I probably wouldn't've started this thread were it not for the funny hats. Those are just weird and utterly pointless. I am willing to bet there is no historical reason for them, thus, there's no point in even having them.

    Amtstracht [Bearbeiten]

In short: The robes are modeled after the robes of Florentinian judges from the 15th century, which were originally designed by a tailor from Munich.

Since then, the robes have been modernised, in terms of fabrics and tailoring.
