How many believe that the bible is the actual word of God?

I believe man wrote it down in what he believed to be the word of God. The words have changed a lot of the times to reflect on the current needs and aims of the church.

I don't believe the majority "truly" believe.

Many people will vote before reading that you only want Christians to vote. I think you should ask that this thread be closed and reopen one with clearer instructions and more options.

Why can't they vote, they have opinions as well and therefore should be allowed to vote.

The Bible was written my MEN and WOMEN, not god. They supposedly wrote what they "thought" they heard god say to them.

 

There are things about God and His manifestation with man. There is History, There are examples of life behavior and showing consequences doe to behavior, there is poetry

The word of God is the canonized Bible. The Word of God is the second person of the Trinity, the Word made flesh and lives among us.

We worship the Word of God but not the Bible. There is a tendency to put the Bible to a level as if it is being worshipped but we shouldn't.

I think we are cutting hairs with symantics. So let me get beyond the symantics with an example.

Say the boss of a big company composes a letter to his staff. He gives his rough draft to his secretary to formalize for distribution. When the letter is finally distributed who wrote that letter? The secretary had to proof read, fix typos and grammer, put it on company stationary and maintain whatever company protocol needed. She wrote it too.

Since a real good secretary is also an office manager, her boss might also give her only a hand written list of things he wants in the letter. It is up to her to pretty it up, so when the staff reads it, it refects the forceful style of the boss (behind every great man is a woman). She helps pick his forceful words like she helps pick his power tie.

Say his trusted secratary is out on sick leave. He gets another temporary secretary from the pool. She is also very skilled. For the next letter, he gives her his new list of points for his letter. She has a different style since she is unique.

The bible has a boss but many secretaries.
