Gundam vs Star Trek ( possibly Star Wars )
Well, who do you think? Gundam or Star Trek and Star Wars?
I realized most of you don't know much about Gundam so I will post most resources for Gundam and sources for extra resources if you want to go look for weaknesses.
I will start with Gundam 00 vs Star Trek and/or ( but not combined ) Star Wars for now

Well it is in Japanese...with no subtitles ( my apologies ), but knowledge of the language is not needed to understand the sheer awesomeness

The movie is in the link above, and yes it is subbed, the prequel is in the same site, subbed and dubbed.

Is there a short hand somewhere, a wiki I can look up stuff on... I will gladly defend Trek on this one. But I may have to catch up with your knowledge on Gundam.

Not as updated as Star Wars and Star Trek wikis, but it is good if you know what you are looking for, and it is okay for beginners.

Don't worry I don't know much about the old school Gundam series, I only know Gundam SEED/Destiny and Gundam 00, with a bit of Gundam Wing.

It being lawful or not depend on where you are lol, but most people don't give a shit.
Well, it probably debuted on TV, some in Japan recorded it put it on a RAW site, subbers go and find it ( or they get their own people in Japan to get the RAW, depend on the group ). Once they get the raw, the translators do their stuff, the editors fix their shit ( not exaggerating, most of the translations that come out are shit that makes no sense, how good a sub group is usually depend on how good the editors and translation checkers are, 99% of translators translate shit, what comes out are not even proper English ), HOPEFULLY there is a translation checker in the process somewhere. Editors don't just edit ( at least they shouldn't ), they should make it proper English and add more "character" to the subs, but not too much, they SHOULD get the RAW, too watch with the original shitty translations and get a feel for it, and try to make it......well English. Then timers time the thing ( usually carefully, but I learned a trick to disguise a lot of little mistakes so it doesn't make a difference, and in my case, I time as I edit, so I listen to the lines over and over again ), then typesetters set it, then QC ( Quality Check, usually the members of the group ) then upload. It usually for speed subs takes 5 hours ( for 24 min episode ) from RAW to upload, quality sub can take a few days ( usually 1-3 ).
So yeah, the movie was up on internet in about lets say a day or two after it debuted on TV
Legal or not depend on where you are

Honestly, I think ST shields could stop the buster rifle and that phasers would tear a gundam up so I'm going with ST

Buster is not in Gundam 00. Have fun stopping the Rapheal Gundam ( at least it is what I think its called, Terria's Gundam ) and Momento Mori ( the Celestial Being's giant wave-motion gun ). Well, the GN shields might hold, I am not positive. BUT, the ELS could DEFINITLY destory Star Trek, if not Celesital Being.

Computer controlled targeting systems on a federation would have no trouble targeting them. If they are within about 1000 miles of the ship they could not dodge it. IDK about the shields not taking it. No numbers are really given for the energy of a Gundams weapon systems. It could be a gigawatt laser for all we know which would destroy almost anything in their universe but would not scratch the paint of the Enterprise.

Are you serious? Why exactly can't it keep up? Last time I checked we can't even beat a computer at Jeopardy anymore.
