In their own words, Democrats demand that the financial meltdown which they caused, continue.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac had Maxine Waters and Barney Frank and Chris Dodd and Barack Obama and other Democrats in their pockets, with campaign donations and race-baiting. Franklin Raines is black, and combined with his donations to Democrats, the scam was allowed to continue.

I would hope that everyone knows that the financial crisis was caused by multiple sets of actors: Wall Street bankers, local bankers and loan officers, lawyers, politicians, the Fed, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the SEC, the OCC, hedge funds, financial insurance providers, rating agencies, real estate purchasers, home loan seekers and others—all acting independently and not realizing the extent of the problem that was about to erupt.

I realize there is a penchant for finding a simple narrative that identifies a single (or at least "primary") cause, but the financial crisis was not that sort of situation.

Pandaemoni- It's much easier to point a finger than do research and have actual facts! Sheesh- don't you get it- this is where unsubstantiated claims, ignorance and foolishness thrive!

Well RenaissanceMan nor the people who feed him this nonsense are interested in the truth...as witnessed by his many false claims. Nor is he interested in learning as he never defends his outrageous and false claims.

He dumps and runs just like his mentors (limbaugh, beck, levin, et al).

Pretty much what he said, Federal Reserve, since they control all that (Banks and those employed with them.)

Actually, the OCC and its various state analogues control the banks far more directly than the Fed. The Fed controls the money supply and the discount window (the overnight/short-term federal lending apparatus). At the federal level, the Fed also sets reserve requirements for banks (which is in effect related to the money supply), though state banking regulators can also set reserve requirements (just not, effectively-speaking, lower ones than the Fed requires).

That just proves that the Republican party in fact DOES have a problem with black people. The fact that he had to mention the fact that they were black when it's not even relevant is hilarious.

PS. They try to hide it, but traces of their racism tend to slip out from time to time so they can't hide it forever.

One of the problems was the idea that individual freedom (which we cherish) could better be expressed directly through the market than indirectly through democratic representation. This ideal is still very persuasive.

Clinton wanted to do a lot of things governmentally to help make America a more equal place to live. Like lifting the poor out of poverty and trying to afford the less fortunate with opportunity. One could say he was a true Christian in this sense. Unfortunately these programs would have taken a lot of money and would have meant that the Federal Reserve would need to raise interest rates. So, Alan Greenspan (Head of the Fed) and whatshisface (Head of GoldmanSux) met with Clinton and made the case that the Market could provide society with what Clinton had hoped and do so without raising interest rates. Once deregulated the economy took off and it seemed an unregulated market could indeed give people the Freedom we all cherish.

    It didn't.

To think this is therefor a problem that arose because of "democrats" is so over simplified as to be asinine and nonsensical. Someone here needs to open their eyes and realize it's not a GOP -vs- Dem problem.

    1. Robert Byrd was a Kleagle in the Ku Klux Klan. He was a Democrat and regularly reelected to the Senate. In contrast, Trent Lott was kicked out of the Senate for making a single complimentary toast to Strom Thurmond.
Lott apologized profusely. Not good enough. Byrd apologized. Plenty fine for the hypocritical Democrats.

    2. Democrats deny black families the education vouchers they so desperately want so they can send their kids to better quality schools.
Racist to the core. Democrats would rather pay back their teachers' union stooges than help lift up black families.

    3. Black mothers get abortions at 6 times the rate of white women. This suits liberals just fine. Planned Parenthood was founded by a racist, Margaret Sanger. It's working.

    4. Keeping blacks on the welfare roles by playing the race card has resulted in the Democrat Party locking up 95% of black votes. Sickening and deceitful.

Vouchers in general are a bad solution to education. It just advances the Republican agenda to privatize everything.

Robert Byrd worked for Democratic causes and transcended his racist roots, while Republicans inherited the causes and ideals of the Neo-confederate southerners. Trent Lott should rightfully be ashamed of himself for using the coded language of white supremacy. He meant that segregation was right and prevented the Negroes from asserting their civil rights.

I don't care if black or white women get abortions, that's their business. The fact is unplanned parenthood in a poor community keeps people poor.

Byrd was a member of the Klan when in his early 20's. And he repudiated the Klan prior to running for political office - one of them minor details.

Here is the difference, what Byrd did occured many decades ago. What Lott did was current....not decades ago when he was a young man growing up when and in an area where the Klan was at its zenith.
Just how is it that Black families need education vouchers? Can you produce some evidence to show that vouchers would work for black families or any other families for that matter?

How will the issue of transporation be resolved? How is a poor person going to pay transporation costs to transport their children into and out of their neighborhoods every day?

Since you seem to think teachers unions are the source of all ills. How many of the nations teachers are represented by a union? And what evidence do you have that shows teachers unions are stooges of anyone much less the Democratic Party?

The fact is, Democrats believe that all children should have access to a good education. So did george II, a Republican, with his No Child Left behind program.
I don't suppose you would care to back up your claims with some sort of evidence? Of course not, you never do.

The abortion debate is about giving a woman the right to choose what medical options and treatments she desires versus the state making the decision for her as is the case with China.
This makes no sense what so ever. It is just another in a long series of right wing whacko lies.
