Form the link: "A person convicted of homosexuality in Iran can be lashed, hanged or stoned to death. The law includes a variety of penalties for different acts: 99 lashes if two unrelated males sleep "unnecessarily" under the same blanket – even without any sexual contact. A boy raped by an adult man would also be lashed if the court decided that he had "enjoyed" the experience." It really is amazing that religious psychoses runs so deep within the indoctrinated believer as to make them this insecure about the world around them. Religion is good, folks. Don't take my word for it, ask any believer. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
This is terrible. But let's not fool ourselves; there are many people here in the U.S. that would like to be able to do that sort of thing here. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2564659/posts?page=83#83
No surprise here. Iran is an oppressive desert shithole. When the bomb drops, let's hope it lands on Tehran first.
Strangely or not, according to Wikipedia: As of 2008, Iran carries out more sex change operations than any other nation in the world except for Thailand. The government even provides up to half the cost for those needing financial assistance and a sex change is recognised on the birth certificate. ... A small number of Iranian clerics have advised that homosexual men and women undergo sex reassignment in order for them to be able to live "normal lives". ... The report further states that currently, it is not possible for presumed transsexual individuals to choose not to undergo surgery - if they are approved for sex reassignment, they are expected to undergo treatment immediately. Those who wish to remain "non-operative" (as well as those who crossdress and/or identify as genderqueer) are considered their biological gender, and as such they are likely to face harassment as being homosexuals and subject to the same laws barring homosexual acts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transsexuality_in_Iran That's Iran's solution to homosexuality: Get those people to change their biological sex, so they don't have to change the laws about homosexuality.
Its good to see so many people concerned about the lack of proper due process in Iran. Do they truly believe that such rendition and execution of innocent people by government agencies is wrong? Should the people responsible be held accountable or should the President, I mean Grand Poobah just brush it all under the table? Does the lack of proper representation, lack of evidence even when the charges are so obviously trumped up and fake, even matter?
That would be the "Islamic Regime" that distinguishes between the regime and the religion, yes? Funny stuff, Sam. Keep it coming. LOL!
Doesn't have to be a specific regime. Rendition and execution on trumped up charges is pretty universal. Can you name a single state where it does not happen?
All law is arbitrary (Q), would it be better if they executed him for his religion, race or colour instead? What I find most perplexing maybe, is this: Why in the heck would anyone's parents want their son to declare himself buggered, falsely or truly? And why in the heck would anyone admit to being sodomised if he wasn't?
His religion? Perish the thought. Too many have already been executed for his religion. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Think of it this way, Sam, this is a perfect opportunity for the Muslims and Christians to show the world they have some common ground, that they can agree and walk hand in hand promoting their hatred towards homosexuality. The only problem is that they might still not agree on whether they should bury him up to his neck and throw stones or burn him at the stake. Either way, it's a win-win scenario for both religions to show that they can get together on social issues. LOL! Playing "Taps" might get you in trouble though or anything for that matter. Mod Notes: SAM, we aren't discussing the US's policy of rendition. We are discussing Iran. Either discuss in good faith or leave the discussion.
If this story is accurate (and it seems so given Mostafaei`s corroboration) then it is another sad day for human rights and civilization. Religious superstitions persecutions are a blight on humanity. :m:
