Lightbulb cheapest place to live in the world

What is the cheapest city to live in?

I don't care so much for all the 'best cities to live in' articles written. Not really as relevant as the question of cheapest.

Rank Location (Overall Cost of Living Index New York=100)

    Most expensive city:
    Japan, Tokyo (126.03)

    And the cheapest:
    Zimbabwe, Harare (17.12)

Highlights ($500 or under a month):

    Argentina, Buenos Aires (57.46)

    Ecuador, Quito (53.83)

    China, Shenzhen (51.65)

    Cambodia, Phnom Penh (45.65)

    ---

100 is going to describe the cost of living in NYC. So China, Dalian at (50.54) is going to cost about half as much.

"Mercer says for the most part, the fluctuations have been the result of important currency fluctuations and less so by price movements."

& Here is the USA CPI expanded

    food/drink -15
    housing - 40
    clothes - 3.6
    transport - 16.68
    medical - 6.5

“The growing number of foreclosures is forcing more people to look for apartments and houses to rent. However, we expect rental prices to decrease as unemployment and other economic factors begin to influence the market,” Sépède commented.
