Note: You know, if I blinked, I wouldn't have noticed, as that thread is growing so quickly. But I didn't; these are the six I saw. They were pretty much entirely about the insults, quickly-writ, and largely nonsensical.

And, yes, I'm sure there are more that I've missed.

Update: In the time it took me to write this note, another seven insults popped up.

Seriously, people, is that what this place is for? You don't get to be mean enough to people in real life, so you come here for a fix?

Note: It would be to the greater benefit of the entire community if members could please consider that while not all nudity is pornography, site authority does have to draw a line somewhere. Even if an image is blurry, and might just be the ass and tail of a shaved cat, it probably should not be construed as anything other than the ass and tail of a shaved cat. Okay, it's a dumb joke, but that's sort of my point. It's like, you know, there's a bit of a range between Renaissance art and a picture of a blurry picture of someone's erect penis. At the very least, link to the accompanying article instead, and we'll figure out whatever we need to figure out from there. But the less that could be remotely construed as pornographic by reasonable people, the better. In general. I know, sometimes the story just takes us there. Like a famous guy named Weiner who got in trouble for wagging his ass and tail of a shaved cat ... er ... right. You know?

Notes: The insults have my sympathy, to be certain, but there is no utility in the idea that rational adults should grant juvenile provocateurism its zealous wish for martyrdom. Policy forbids such direct insults, so I must enforce that. Policy does not, however, specifically forbid the kind of insults to this community's intelligence so common among childish and uninformed provocateurs. While this might be an issue we should address over the long run, my recommendation is that rational folk simply appreciate the reminder of how ignorant a perspective must be in order to support such silly racism and beg for public abuse. At the very least, I would ask our members to at least be somewhat subtle in their vitriol, that it might ride on some more substantial point in any given discussion. As per my custom, the original post, unedited, remains on file.

I'm sure there is a moral to the story, but I shan't be the one to prescribe it. My apologies if the moves have created any confusion. I can't recall the former. The latest, though, was from the Obama File to the Romney File.

Notes: This was just one of those occasions where a regular member got shoved into the moderation queue for reasons I am unable to explain. Not seeing his post, the member apparently reposted, and then again. This one is on the software; we're still trying to figure out what's up. See "Why do my posts have to be approved by a moderator?" for the latest status updates, though at present the latest status update is obsolete. We're on it; I just don't have a good projection for resolution at this time.
