LOOK...if you have a problem with a poster tell PLAZMA...let him look at the offending post...let HIM decide whether to warn or ban the offender...he can WARN him or....he can BAN him for a bit, or he can BAN him forever (pending new sockpuppet)...simple.

Let the members be members, let us love or hate James R , Q and the rest because of what they post, not because they wield some sort of power over the rest of us.

If the ban system is re-established, will it also apply to trolling moderators? Or will they be immune from punishment, much like they are under the infraction system?

The first thing that should be banned are the moderators. We've lost some great members due entirely to certain mods personal prejudices and vendetta's.

Change the system, but let Plazma Inferno run the shindig, the same way Dave W did it before him.

Mods create coflict and cause resentment.

Infractions are simply warnings but because they are given by mods, they create the above.

Irrelevant.

They might be more or less intelligent that xyz member but the fact is that they are supposed to be members equal to the rest. Unfortunately, their artificial status puts them on a different level and too many other members resent that. Also, and I mean absolutely also, some mods believe the hype and seem to go out of their way to piss people off, knowing that they are beyond reproach.

Until only recently this site was not moderated and did just fine, if anyone had a complaint they only had to pm Dave W (Porfiry) and he would sort out the problem without problem and without resentment....you know why? Because he was god, yahweh, buddha...all those things, he was the boss and he NEVER got personal or condencending.
