Hi

I just wonder if locked threads will get deleted at your will, or after a set amount of time, or other conditions? Because I wonder if you really want to have all those locked threads (especially the ones you hate the most) clog up the forums....

We let threads drop down and out of site after they're locked. Only spam is really deleted.

I have another question here (more like request I think....)
Can I make a thread asking sciforumers to rate the previous posting sciforumer? I mean like.... well, this is quite inspired by another forum (sorry about this if this is 'spammish'), where a member asks another member to rate his username, hobby etc etc, and the answering member will do the same and so on........ I'm just a little tickled about this, but I won't worry/mind/be sad in case you don't think it's nice enough...

I remember a time when there used to be a lot of that stuff going on in Free Thoughts. Perhaps we should have one main big one that will encompass everything. it will let us get to know people who generally hang out in different forums than us.

When we moved over to Sciforums 3.x (the current overhauls) there was, initially, a column for "reputation." The idea quickly went by the wayside.

Frankly, we need to deal better with constructive criticism, sarcasm, satire (the dead horse that's so freaking dead there's nothing left to beat) and other possibly-divisive attributes of our conversational habits before we start rating each other. Frankly, the thought of a circle jerk that large ... well, someone call Guinness. Oh, wait ... he's dead.

By the way, this may be a late question, but whatever.....

What actually prevents us from editting/deleting our posts in locked threads? Is it mods' policies, or is it that the current vBuletin has that policy?
