sex and violence

Why is it you can buy 100s of games which will show you expicitly what happens when you put a snipper round through someone's head, in full colour and realistic brain matter tjectories but there are no games at all on the consoles which depict sex. Surly sex is less harmful than this desensitization to violence yet nothing at all.

Violence cannot be seen as immoral by politics if the same politics are enforcing real life war.

And on the other hand, sex is repressed because by depriving people of their natural drive, you can easily manipulate them.

If sex is seen as moral and natural, and violence is seen as it really is; then there would be no more wars.

The neuro-psychologist, James W. Prescott, has performed a startling cross-cultural analysis of 400 pre-industrial societies and found that cultures that lavish physical affection on infants tend to be disinclined to violence. Even societies without notable fondling of infants develop non-violent adults, provided sexual activity in adolescents is not repressed. Prescott believes that cultures with a predisposition for violence are composed of individuals that have been deprived — at least during one of two critical stages in life, infancy and adolescence — of the pleasures of the body. Where physical affection is encouraged, theft, organized religion, and individual displays of wealth are inconspicuous; where infants are physically punished, there tends to be slavery, frequent killing, torture and mutilation of enemies, a devotion to the inferiority of women, and a belief in one or more supernatural beings who intervene in daily life.

Anyway what I find facinating is the attitudes, if you want a "porn" game you must be a "sick perv" but if you want to sit around all day blowing peoples heads all day your completely normal. How did we get to this point?

 

Given the fact that political/economical establishment controls the media it's no wonder they promote the things that benefit them, and repress the things that could be damaging for them.

Yeah you're so right, no such things as porn sites, porn magazines, sexually suggestive pictures, nope, no one would get addicted to sex. Maybe it's because the world is not so severely immoral yet that there aren't tons of games depicting sex, and because no everyone wants to think of what a loser they are for wanting to watch virtual sex on their video game console, when they can just go online to watch it, or have the real thing, if some girl or guy doesn't consider them too ugly to look at or touch...

And do you really want to watch virtual sex with your mom dad brother and sisters or relatives around? Where the hell have you been living man. You must be an atheist psychopath living in a cave in Afghanistan.

 

People worry entirely too much about what other people think of them. If it harm none, do as you will is a good operating concept...

I just was happy I could let my anger run around and "kill" lots of digital images without harming any actual people.
