I was just thinking the other day and have a WHAT IF question I think would be fun to discuss

If we had the ability to instantly go anywhere in the universe and we went to a planet 300 million light years away and had a telescope good enough to see the earth and what was on it, we would have to see dinosaurs. We would be seeing 300 million years into the past. We would literealy be watching the history of the earth unfold. you could see exactly how the dinosaurs became extinct, you could see the creation of the bible and the crusifying of jesus and or if it even happened at all. you could see the rise and fall of the roman empire the construction of the pyrimids. Its limitless. of course you would have to watch it all in real time wich sucks but I think that interesting as hell

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

There even might be somewhere in the universe an object/mirror of sorts 300 million light years away from us and if we were able to "catch" its light we could be able to see our past. A nice idea sly1.

i think the idea has been around cos one of my fantasies (long time ago) was to make documentaries on tape out of this captured light and be a movie mogul!
now showing "gladiators - the original"!
