    Any helpful life hacks?

What? I put the eggs in water and turn the flame to high and walk away. I realize walking away is why they’re boiling over but then I lower the heat to medium. Not simmer.

    Any helpful life hacks?

I looked up some common life hacks and this came up: Put a wooden spoon across a boiling pot of water to keep it from boiling over. I’ve never heard of this “trick” before but upon further research, a wooden spoon across the top of a pot of boiling water helps prevent it from boiling over...

    Any helpful life hacks?

So, I bought acetone and a warming bowl to heat it up. It dramatically helped loosen the nail glue, and I could pull the fake nails off with more ease. I wish there was something less toxic/harsh though to do this.

Eek, sounds painful. And yes, akin to super glue. Yea, the instructions suggest when you want to remove the nails, to submerge your hands in bowls of hot water for 10 minutes. I was hoping for something quicker, but looks like that might do the trick.

    Any helpful life hacks?

So, I purchased and pressed on fake nails to see if this brand was worth the hype (it is, imo) and got some nail glue on my fingertips. (My fault, I will use a different method to attach the nails next time.) I've tried alcohol, make-up remover, and nail polish remover, but there's...

www.npr.org/sections/shots-health-news/2025/02/07/nx-s1-5289912/unprecedented-white-house-moves-to-control-science-funding-worry-researchers (Not really a science story, per se, but definitely relevant in these uncertain times.) And on that note, Happy International Women and Girls' Day in...

    Trump 2.0

I don’t disagree - the quote “the government you elect is the government you deserve” seems to fit, here. Being angry with me over why Harris lost and Trump won, I’m not sure what that does for you. It certainly doesn’t solve the dilemma the country is in now. I didn’t vote for Trump, but you...

    Trump 2.0

I think he accomplished some positive things, but the border crisis, Afghanistan and high inflation…even if Biden the man, had little to do with any of it, he was the guy overseeing it all. But, yes, his age was nothing he could do anything about but it was wrong that his team covered for him...

    Trump 2.0

Sarkus - I’ll be honest. Not until he pardoned a bunch of people, did I think he wasn’t “good,” but if people have nothing to hide, there’s no reason to pardon them. It just seems suspicious. Trump pardoned a bunch of people as well, which I feel was wrong too, but we’re talking about Biden...

    Trump 2.0

I don’t think Biden was a bad President, but he would have been the Democratic Party’s top choice for this last election cycle, if he was thought of as doing a great job.

    Trump 2.0

Hmm, I’d say someone who faces adversity and challenges with grace but determination to overcome them. Abraham Lincoln comes to mind. I think that the US right now, is so divided on almost every issue, but I’d like to see a President who celebrates or at least, respects the melting pot of...

    Trump 2.0

But, there are voters on either side who don’t go that deep over the issues they’re voting on. I’m wondering if most voters just look at one or two major concerns, and they don’t think about what the rest of it might mean. Musk shouldn’t be in the role he’s in as a non-government employee, for...

    Trump 2.0

Agreed. Personally, our government here in the US is starting to resemble a Reality TV show, more than a government. No matter who's in office. That could be due to the 24/7 coverage and opinions broadcast across social media. *shrug*

There are, I'm just giving my perspective. And you're right, that's why we have to be mindful of issues, and not just identity politics.

    Trump 2.0

I think that Catholics, at least from those I know who identify this way, the abortion issue is what tends to split them away from voting Democrat. But, it seems like we do a disservice to many voters by assuming they are in love with a specific candidate, simply because they agree more on some...
