Just wanted to start a thread about this. Here is the real quote:

""We used to hustle over the border for health care we received in Canada," she said. "And I think now, isn't that ironic."

I hope she runs for president....

She was only 6, and already stupid....

    This joke describes her perfectly:

What's the difference between Sarah Palin's mouth and her vagina?

Only SOME of the things that come out of her vagina are retarded.

I would not say the other kids fall to far from the tree either.

So in conclusion there might not be anything she produced that isn't as stupid as a bag of hair.

This kind of reminds me of Glean Beck bemoaning the status of American healthcare when he was hospitalized a while back. And then when Obama was elected and healthcare became a political issue, beck seems to have had a dramatic change of heart.

It is funny how that worked, so funny I can't stop giggling about it when it comes to mind.

What is the obsession with Palin? This is the second thread PJ has started. Why not try ignoring the woman? I do.

    That's just nasty.

I don't like the woman, but that's going too far.

    But.. But.. BUT..

    We need some comic relief!:bawl:

She was 6. Its not like she had a choice in the matter. The misdirected animosity here is bordering on irrational.

    Sarah Palin either:
    (a) knows nothing about British healthcare - in which case she shouldn't speak about it
    (b) is deliberately misinforming/fear mongering

I've been astonished at the lies and misinformation spread about non-US healthcare systems, particularly the British and Canadian systems.

Just for the record, in Britain it's this simple - no one decides who gets healthcare and who doesn't. You get it no questions asked, ever.

Ignoring someone as dangerous as her is foolish. She is the most likely candidate for the republicans in 2012 so she gets my attention.

I see you can't not troll. I didn't hate bush and I didn't palin. everything in my dislike is based on their policies. I'll leave the blind hatred of some because of their politcal party to you.

So its misdirected to call her out on bashing a system that provided the cheapest and best health care to her family when she was young?

Just because people are pointing out inconsistencies and untruths and misrepresentations does not mean they hate.

Some people might call that being a good and reasonable consumer of information.

The point is not her choice THEN, but her stand (choice) NOW on the issue...

She misscalled it irony, when it is hipocrisy....

By the way hating Sarah is a constitutional right.

Well, this is a big old, "Who gives a shit?" moment.

She was six years old and I'm pretty sure she wasn't making the medical decisions for their family. If she was doing this when she was in her 30s, it might actually be relevant.

I doubt she is the most likely. She didn't even poll high at CPAC among the hard Right, who preferred Paul and Romney.

You vitriol and hatred toward Bush is well documented. Now you spend your time digging up inane stories about Palin to fill the void his exit from your life has left. Oh, and I don't have a party. Never have.

Sure, fixate on a few people of a certain political persuasion and examine them to death. That's totally reasonable. Like PJ's link to a story about Oscar parties -- or something. That is definitely worth everyone's time, and it's responsible too, right?
