I kicked a coffee table a couple of weeks ago and now have like a large discolored spot by my toenail. Is it a pool of blood? and if so should i like prick it with a needle and let it drain?

    What color is it now?

Did it change color over time?

    Does it still hurt?
I'm pretty sure it will heal by itself.

This will sound cliche, but why don't you ask doctor/professional?

I don't think you should prick it with needle...!

As far as I remember, when I have bruises (after Taekwondo training), I just put an ice on it, and it gone in 2-3 days (longest is about 1 week). Since you said that your dark-red-purple bruise has been for about a couple of weeks, I think you should go to doctor.

can you feel your heartbeat in it?
My Mom always heated a needle and poked it through to relieve the pressure. I think my Mom is insane. I always put ice on it, take some aspirin, and let it be.

Had many blood blisters, take a clean needle ,go to the base of the blister where it meets the skin ,slide the needle slow and squeeze the blood out. This way the skin will protect it,if it pops it will be an open sore and sting.
