You need a little more information. What did henry do to deserve his house being burned down? WHat has he done with ihs life? How big is this apartment and what is it being used for? If you leave it like it is, then without a doubt Henry is the better person.

hmm. well theres not much i could add to the original scenario. certainly henry did nothing to deserve having his hut burned down.. for my part, i rented the apartments to tourists and lived off the money in italy.
