i was interested in your opinion on the vacian thing

to ME it looks like a political stunt to either a) force the navy to do as its told or b) to keep secret that they were going from the oposition leader

Do you mean the anthrax vaccinations aboard RAN vessels?

During Desert Storm the USA tried to get all military personnel of allied nation sto use their brand spanking new - and barely tested - vaccines for something. I think it was their anti-nerve-gas crap. Australia refused to use it, and instead we stuck to our own stuff. I was in basic training when that was happening, and did not go to the Gulf, for which I'm glad; an old colleague of mine, now on the board of the Australian Gulf Veterans Association, tells me that USA "medications" of the time were one of the possible causes of the infamous Gulf War Syndrome. Of course all that depleted uranium is another suspected cause. Or the toxic fumes everywhere from burning oil well-heads. Or....

Anyway... Our sailor have the right to refuse the vaccinations. And the navy has the right to transfer them to the most boring desk jobs they can find.

Are the vaccinations necessary? I doubt it. I would think anthrax warheads would be used against infantry, not against ships. It would be just dumb to use such thigns against ships. It is a weapon in limited supply, best spread over a large area, perhaps deployed by spraying in the air. Better to hit ships with something simple, a plain old missile to take out the communications and ops room.

The navy does what it's told anyway. No leverage is needed. It's not really anything new, involving particularly the recent political troubles. The navy always vaccinates people. During basic training I was vaccinated against various things every week.

what about keeping that they were leaving from the oposition?

and the fact that it takes 4 weeks for the sailors to get the protection and the arguments that it should have been done here????

im trying to work out if it was political or just rotuine

The vaccinations and transfers are not political in themselves. But obviously the reactions of the politicians regarding those things are political.
