i dont usually post here--in fact i know next to nothing about the intricacies of the latest computer gadgets in the market

i was wondering if you could suggest the best programs for retrieving games/movies/software.

i only know of
1)winmx
2)mirc (is there a tutorial on how to exchange files on this?)

any better ones out there?

and last question: are there anymore non-copyrighted sites with the audiogalaxy format??

thank you

Try this:

http://www.neo-modus.com/

It is a little different from audiogalaxy, which I was using until it lapsed. There are a lot of hubs that require you have a minimum amount of music/movies/ect to access but if you have patience there is a lot there.

This link was given by You Killed Jesus in the Art and Culture forum.

www.kazaalite.com

This is the anchor for the Kazaa file sharing program, but it's the version with all the spyware taken out. (you can go for the original Kazaa, but there are loads of hidden program extra's that eat up your resources)

IRC is the easiest way to get lost on the Internet. It's also one of the fastest and easiest places to p!rate most any s0ftw@re, g@me, or medi@...not that I suggest you do!
I would suggest going through the FAQ (http://mirc.com/faq.html), and the listing of commands (http://mirc.com/cmds.html).
The best ones to learn (in my opinion) are:
/list (server window: to find out the channels/chans available)
/join #______ (server window: join channel "_____")
!list (chat window: to find the triggers available)
then type in whatever is after "Triggers:«", and before "»"

Also I would suggest getting Invision2, it's a great (free) software, and it makes mIRC easier, and more user-friendly...
