Ah yes, I remember that part, yes that is an example of SW sheilding. However, this, is the only demonstration we have ever had, and all they were really effective against was basic anti-personal weapon fire. remember, shields are only visible in an atmosphere or when hit. If the shot had hit the hull, then why was there no explosion on-screen? Why was that part of the hull not destroyed? Face it, the shot hit shields and was scattered. The scattering of energy is what produces the flash of light. And how could it have hit if the green light curves? I know the bolt won't. And the bolt would destroy itself upon impact. Look at the picture closer.
And those shields were effective enough to hold off attacks from swarms of fighters, each one with computer controlled aiming.They just can't take a hit from a capital ship gun, in much the same way a fighter today can't take a hit from a 18.1 inch cannon, which was the caliber of guns on the Yamato, whose shells would split cruisers in half.. Of course overwhelming firepower will destroy the thing.

Emotion is the physical manifestation of the metaphysical excursions of the spirit. True love, unyielding and undying, can ONLY be found when you find the other half of your own spirit, your soul mate so to speak.

Thus far those screenshots only prove that the yellow scoutship has a shield. The first picture clearly shows zero shields on that ship. As do the countless screenshots of Wars battles.
The [I]one[/I] scoutship having shields proves nothing further than shielding on a very small scale. Hell, that thing is smaller than a Federation shuttlecraft.

Very simple haloguy. The mere fact that it does not exist on any larger ships in all the movies suggests that the shield generator simply cannot project a bigger complex shield. It's called lack of power. Or lackluster emitters. Or some other factor that renders the Wars shield generator unusable or even [I]unwanted[/I] for larger vessels.

I know...planetary shields are mentioned. The yellow scoutship has. But this doesn't mean anything in between uses them (as the on screen visuals suggest), or if they do they are clearly a waste of resources.
Even Enterprise-E's new hull hugging shielding is very evident with weapons impact, I will not accept the shape of the shield as an implication that they are there and invisible; weapons fire impacts SW ship hulls from salvo 1 straight onto destruction, with no interruptions that suggests shielding.
Star wars does have shields as it mentions when the Executer' sheild ball explodes one of the blokes says 'sir we've lost our bridge deflector shield'.

Thats becuase of the hull hugging shields. You saw how close the shields were to the hull. Its about the same for all vessels. If an explosion happended on the surface of the shield, it would be nearly impossible to tell the diffrence.

Yes, but even if they were hull hugging we should have seen some sheild impact, on ST: Nemesis the Ent-E's sheilds were as you would say it, hull hugging, and we saw sheild impacts, even though the sheilds were aproximately 3~5 meters off the hull.
