Actually, it does have shields, but its a bubble, not hull conforming. This would be great except there's nothing to stop a fighter or a small ship from passing through it and attacking.
Thats one of the reasons why SW fans think they would win, their puny, "heroic" fighters would just pass through the sheilds.
Yeah, but I don't see what he is getting at.
What makes you say that?
ok but your ship cant fit thrugh the sheld
Ever heard of the Defiant Class? Its a 120 meter long ship, can cloak, and has enough firepower to slag a Class M planet.
i dont know just wondering
Ever heard of the Defiant Class? Its a 120 meter long ship, can cloak, and has enough firepower to slag a Class M planet.
Then you shouldn't be here.

FUCK YOU YOU TREKKIE i just made my acount today
Hello? How the hell do you think the Station got to Alderaan or Yavin?
Second the Trubolaser stats are canon figures from the EU which in no way comes into conflict with the movies. therefore it is canon.
BTW I do not respond to Hellblade8's posts becuase once I prove one thing he switches to another argument where I trounce him yet again and then he goes back to the first. Of course Hellblade8 is not his first moniker and I have been fighting him and his sock puppetry for some time.
Excuse me? Look, your the one full of bullshit here. Lets see shall we?
1) You claimed that 400 gigawatts could take down UFP shields. I proved you wrong from multiple of other sources.
2) You switched over to saying that a point blank weapon such as a beam weapon could work since it could overload a small area. However, the problem here as I told you is that the firepower is much, much too low and that with a shield network, it wouldn't work that way unless you where taxing the other emitters or possibly have a weapon that is too hard to dissapate and absorb.
3) I showed you with a picture that the weapon hit every area of the shield, thus it is not a point blank weapon. In fact, it would be like when the enterprise was hit by that solar flare. The entire shield grid would be at work here. Thus, your theory is wrong and disproven before it even begins.
4) You also claimed that the Survivor planet was attacked by multiple warships. I looked up the quote and proved you wrong. Here it is again:
Kevin falls silent. Picard pushes him on --
PICARD
Your colony was attacked by a
warship...
KEVIN
Belonging to the Husnock, a
species of hideous intelligence
that knew only aggression and
destruction. I could have
destroyed them with a mere
thought, but this I did not do.
BEVERLY
(appalled)
You had the power to stop them
and you didn't?
KEVIN
I refused to for the same reason
I refused to stop the Enterprise.
I will not kill!
5) You claim that phasers are weak because they can't burn through crates or walls, and that the cast never uses them to do so. Again, I proved you wrong and later you ignore my post, or shall I post it again? Here we are:
Riker : 'Data, tell me about nuranium. It vaporises at?'
Data : 'Two thousand three hundred and fourteen degrees sir. Of course, nuranium carbi-'
Riker : 'Thank you Data.'
Geordi : 'Setting seven ought to do it.'
6) You claim that the UFP has very little firpower. Again, I spoke of A Taste of Armageddon, and the Die is Cast. In Armageddon, a Constitution class starship is able to destroy all life on a planet with only a compliment of 120 photons and 6 phaser banks. To further this, we see in the Die is cast that 20 starships can destroy 30% of a planet's crust in one volly on a Class M world. That means that at least a good portion of that crust was over fifty miles thick. At the very least, around ten miles thick. In Broken Link we see are told that the Defiant has enough firepower to reduce a planet to a cinder. And supposedly, the ship is powerful enough to kill all the Founders before the exceptionally large fleet of Jem'Hadar ships can stop them, let alone the ones on the Defiant as well. To top all of this off, I have a nifty quote here Booby Trap:
DATA
(acknowledges)
Neither side intended Orelious
Nine to be the decisive conflict.
WESLEY
Not much of it left, is there...
DATA
The destruction is remarkable
considering the primitive weapons
of the period.
7) You claim that the HTLs have firepower of 12.5 Gigatons, despite us never seeing this in the movies or the G-level books. Then you claim 200 gigatons, apparently you aren't very consistant, and I easily prove you wrong with Han's quote of the entire Imperial starfleet being unable to destroy Alderaan, as well as the quote from RTS novel where we here that HTLs can vaporize a small town. Highest source of G-level canon on SW firepower. Furthermore, I have disproven your idea that an Tie fighter can mimic the effects of the Defiant in reducing a world to a cinder by showing that in episode one, two proton torps have about the same yield as a hand gernade, more or less.
8) You have time after time failed to take these issues at hand, often just ignoring it and going to pick on someone else. Are we done playing and do you actually wish to respond to me on these events?
wtf is a class m planet and no i havnt heard of the Defiant Class
Class M means earth like in shape, atmosphere, size, and mass. Those sorta things. And the Defiant is an "Escort" ship.:D

It doesn't need to fit in that trench, the shields are a good few hundred meters of the ship. And again, the Defiant can approach it while cloaked.

How so? Ray shields don't stop solid objects like ships, but rather only energy weapons such as phasers and lasers.

ok but the only way you can hit the hole i if you know whar it is and dout that the capton of the ship will know whar it is

Actually, he likely would. Starships can easily scan objects and get quick reading on the surface and often a good portion of the interior part of the object. Once the exhaust port is located, the area can be targeted and two Quantum torps sent down the shaft.
wtf is a class m planet and no i havnt heard of the Defiant Class
"M" comes from the Vulcan word "Minshara" which is a terrestrial planet with a molten core and a magnetic field.
The "Defiant" class is a class of small, heavily armored assult cruisers originally designed to fight the Borg, but ended up being used, primarily, to fight the Jem Hadar during the Dominion War.
