well basically (I wish I had a diagram to post... :( ) I'm trying to remember the actual term; anyway.. The idea is that if you can introduce a specific event [ahead] in the path of the timeline, it can split any number of ways. If the Borg went back and "preveted life from occuring" at a specific point, the prime reality would either continue along a different path, parallel to the prime timeline, split off into other paths (where humanoid life would appear at another time and place), or it could just cease to exist all together.
There could be potentially an infinite number of timelines, but there are three primary ones corresponding with different dimensional realities. But I digress.
ah!!!! I just remembered one of the terms: Many-worlds interpretation! It basically asserts that reality is like a tree. Anything that [i]can[/i] happen, [i]will[/i] happen; every possible outcome is realized.
So if the Borg go back and try to stop human/oids from existing, it may not necessarily happen that way. (i.e. humans might [i]not[/i] cease to exist or occur) - of course there's also what we percieve as having happened; it's also a matter of observation/peception.
What we might observe, in our percieved timeline, maybe some catastrophic future; because of the Borgs interference (which includes human somewhere). BUT, humans, at the same time, might HAVE been prevented from existing; in another reality that has branched off in another direction....
(There is a whole load of so many other things related to this that can fill 100 libraries of Alexandria...)

Why is it that these boards get repetative?
The space station have multiple functions beside the superlaser, it is an expeditionary base, a drydock, a barrack .etc
The eight ships I believe need to be together in that specific formation without a ship missing to do that damage, with one ship missing the damage will be a small fraction, of the damage dealt when together. If they can disrupt the formation, then the eight ships are screwed. They are biotech right? Release biological and chemical weapons and see.....
I have one thing to say, and it is the reason that Star Trek would completely screw the sh-t out of Star Wars. As a matter of fact, I can confine it to one letter.

The point is Q and other similar entities have limitless powers. The Force has already been proven to be something biological. Something bioloical can be easily destroyed; especially by man.

The Force is not biological it is supernatural, it is related to something biological however. Think of the midiclorians as the "prophets" of the force, get what I mean?

your contradicting yourself. If it were supernatural, no technology could analyze it. But because technology CAN analyze it, it's basically biological.
The Q can't be analyzed by technology.
