i wonder how many people that responded to this thread actually was or is " the boss "?
    and responsible for their work?
it has been my experience that when an employee lies about something of that nature that i ALWAYS had to reinspect the persons work
i also would not recommend or give a reference for that person.

Even though he did Lie, What U r doing is event deadlier than that.

    1) U want to fire him and render him unempolyed

    2) U may drive him towards poverty and hence sucide

    3) He did tell the truth and had to lie to get a job and make money without killing or robbing, so U r a threat to society Baron Max; U r creating a problem for the world.

    5) U r discriminating against a hardworking talented employee based on his education and dening him a chance of earning income in a descent way eventhough he is well capable of it.

    6) this is nothing more than racisim, and widening gap between haves and havenots. I say this through experience of discriminations all my life being a kindergarden drop out. But being a Anomaly I have defied mere mortals like U.

I am currently working on cutting edge technologies and poses technological know how that can end life on this planet and I also have very clear ideas of how to save this world from people like U, I have choosen to be the later one.

    7) What have U lie about your identity here in SciForums ?

    Shame on U.

Yeah, once you see the view from the other side of the fence, your perspective changes a whole lot, huh?

But many of the people responding just don't understand that ...and, sadly, might never understand it. And maybe worse, that they might teach their children exactly the same attitude. Perhaps the morals of this nation really are going to shit in a handbasket?!

Don't make me laugh you two. I can't even count any more the times when I was lied to by employers.

I've seen so many times employers setting an employee up to get him fired, or making his life so miserable that he leaves himself. As if the boss or employer is a saint. Get real will you you two.

I learned the hard way never to treat the 'boss' as a friend. They often have the tendency to wanting to become friendly with you, or at least superficially treating you like a friend, but almost none of them can handle the responsibility of friendship. In most cases they are no real friends to start with. The only way you can find out if they are really friends if when things aren't going optimally. But then of course you as an employee will feel the consequences of this 'fake' friendship the most.

i've done that too, to the slackers
and to people that created tension between the other workers.

an employee works for me for one reason only
an that is to make the company money
if the employee isn't doing that then they are worthless
sounds hard i know, but that is the way it is

Then your morals were too good to work for those employers. You should have quit. To keep working for such an immoral company is, in itself, immoral. So why did you do it?

But I'm given to understand from your tone, Spurious, that you think two wrongs will thus make a right?

I know how it is. That's why I don't make friends with a boss in a company. I will smile to him and lie to him if necessary to make myself look good of course, because I only work for him to make money. A company is worthless to me unless they make money for me. Sounds hard I know, but that is the way it is.

I would say that the only reason any employee works for you, mcdonalds, or walmart or most any other company is to make themselves money. They couldn't care less about if the company makes money.

They would care if their bonuses, stock options, salaries, and employment security is tied to the success of of the company.

So.... I wonder if anybody clicked on that diploma-site yet?

OK-- I have a very important question for the forum:
Would you ever narc on a guy that was lying to his wife?
Me and a buddy of mine were sittin around shooting the shit one day, and we started talking about erectile dysfunction. Yeah yeah I know- it was a weird topic to talk about with a friend, but we were pretty trashed.
So I told him about my problem (It's a problem I've had since I was little) and he told me that he had the same problem too until he went to this one website that supposedly sells a new miricle drug called VIAGRA.
Of course, I tell him "dude, you would never catch me checking out one of those seedy websites like http://www.viagra.spam , but he says "You don't know what you're missing out on by visiting....and it's TOTALLY legit! I've never told my wife, and she doesn't know the difference."

SO what should I do? Should I tell his wife that he visited the Viagra site, and bought viagra for the really low price of just 19.99?

    My turn.

What would you tell your wife if she caught you visiting THIS site?

Man, that’s what happened to me last night. My friend had told me about that site, so I went home and logged on right away. It was incredible! But she walked in the room while I was on THIS page. I could have crawled into a hole! She left the room without saying a word and hasn’t spoken to me since.

(I know it's not as good but maybe one day I can learn from the pros)
