Best Playstation game ever?

My Girlfriend has brought me a Playstation 2 for Christmas and I want to buy a few games, any ideas?

It would be good if they are Two Player and also if they are old, as I can only afford to get a few cheap ones from Ebay.

Depends the type of games your into,but Grand theft auto series is a must play. Soul Calibur II and Teken 4 are good two player games.

i just got mortal combat shaolin monks, (i dont see what it has to do with shaolin) but regardless its a good game and 2 player,

Mashed is quite a good multiplayer game.

 

I like Dance Dance Revolution. I'm trying to find a store that sells In The Groove 2 online...

 

A friend of mine got 300 games on EBay for $50, they're cracked of course, but they come with a special CD that unlocks the player before you load the game.

 

is Burnout 3 a PS2 game? that is a very fun game, and takes little to now practice to have lots of fun.

 

Wipeout Fusion is old,cheap and too much two player fun!

 

I would say another must have multiplayer.

 

I prefer first person shooter games and flight sims. Ghost Recon and Ace Combat are quite good.

 

The Soul Reaver series.
The Resident evil series.
Jak X - this is strangely fun for a racing game.

I thought this thread was about the original playstation!!

The best games for that were Medal of Honor (original) and Final Fantasy 7. I haven't bothered with consoles since.

 

Katamari Damaci and We Love Katamari are a must for multiplayer when the girlfriend is involved.

I have the same problem. The last games i played were Civilization II and other Strategy games. I thought it would be fun having a playstaion but when i go out to buy a game i cant find anything that is my taste. Are there and Strategy games for PS2?

Splinter Cell looked nice but i can't play it. I am not a good gamer... Grand Theft Auto Vice City is a must buy even only for the sountrakcs :m:
