I've heard that wearing a bra helps women get breast cancer by clogging up lymph nodes that naturally secrete toxins. Has anyone else heard this?

I heard that not wearing a bra can result it poor posture which can subsequently result in a host of other ailments.

Pick a comfortable bra and empty your lymph nodes regularly through perspiration.

I suspect poor posture would only result when breasts are heavy/big enough to pull down the chest and put pressure on the spine. What did women do before bras? i dont suspect they wore external braces.
Mine aren't enough to cause back problems, but my roomate said she wished she could go without, but it hurts her back. And a lot of women in her family have cancer anyway, she she's convinced she's doomed.

I need some pictures, otherwise I cannot offer an informed scientific opinion.

If breasts secreted cancer causing toxins, what's that mean for breast feeding?

It does make sense that constraining circulation, along with inactivity could encourage necrotic tissue formation. But as to bras, I'd be more worried about solvents and other chemicals leaching out of the dyed synthetics and rubbers as a first cause.

I actually did read astudy that suggested that wome who wear a bra are more likely to develop breast cancer. I don't know the exact reason behind it but I believe if something iritates the breast tissues enough then it might make them more susceptable to cancer...This is only a guess I admit.

I know a few women with large breasts who have to deal with infections and sores from the underwire some bras use. Given that bras are often made of materials which do not do a good job of either keeping sweat away from the skin or allowing the sweat to evaporate, I could see that build-ups of toxins and bacteria could occur with extended usage (esp. under the fold of the breast), both of which could be acting as mutagenic agents.
I don't have any studies or links handy to support this thought, though. I'm not searching google for "breasts" while at work, either

Before bras, woman most often either hung free or bound themselves (wrapping a long cloth strip *tightly* around their chests to hold everything in place). Niether method is very comfortable, from what I'm told.

i heard that back in the "old days" big boobs was unfashionable.
concerning that, women would wrap clothe around their boobs to decrease their size.
sort of like a "boob girdle"

That was the fashion of the 1920's I reckon. Before that there was always some sort of corseting deivce in action...to squeeze the waist in and push the bust up.
