    Question 1:
If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, on mentally retarded, and she had syphillis; would you recommend that she have an abortion?

    Question 2.
It is time to elect a new world leader, and your vote counts.
Here are the facts about the three leading candidates:

Candidate A: Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. Hes had two mistresses. He alson chain smokes and drinks 8-10 martinis day.
Candidate B: He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whisky every evening.
Candidate C: He is a decorated war hero. Hes a vegetarian, doesnt smoke, drinks an occasional beer and hasnt had any extramarital affairs.

Which of these candidates would be your choice?

    A. Franklin D. Roosevelt
    B. Winston Churchill
    C. Adolf Hitler

Oh, and if you answered yes to question #1, you would of killed Beethoven.

Pretty interesting, huh? I guess things arent always what they seem.

Can anyone verify these facts? I got this via email, but thought it was too interesting to delete

Biographical material about Hitler suggests contradictoriness in reports about his diet. He is often described as a vegetarian who nevertheless had a special fondness for sausages and caviar, and sometimes ham. One of his biographers, Robert Payne ("The Life and Death of Adolf Hitler) took exception to the view of Hitler as an ascetic, and said it was deliberately fostered by the Nazis to project an image of Hitler as pure and dedicated.
    Peace.

Erm... this is not at all the kind of information I would like to know if I were to vote for a world leader. But since I come to understand that it is the US way of voting I'll join. Hey, I voted for B even before I knew C was a description of Dolfie. Except for the opium it's all okay (well, who am I to criticise? -I sometimes smoke maraiuana)

hmm ... you refer to abortion as "killing"

Are decisions based on exceptions good decisions?

In 1, assume that as a result of people choosing to have over eight children, several of whom required substantial societal resources to survive, no one had the time, money, or inclination to listen to Beethoven.

This hamster is unlikely to have advised the woman either way. At most this hamster would point out possibilities and options.

In 2, presumably one would have more information available. If not, one still has to make a choice. Outcomes are never guaranteed. Based on the info provided this hamster would have voted for Hitler. Once Hitler started his “cleansing”, this hamster would have spoken out and fought his policies. Voting for someone doesn’t end one’s social responsibilities. Injustice must still be fought.

    Question 1:

Would you recommend that she have an abortion?
    No.

Maria Magdalena first married a certain Johann Laym in 1763 when she was sixteen. The young couple had one child who died in infancy. In November 1765 she was a widow. Johann van Beethoven married her in November 1767. Beethoven was the second child of his parents (and the first surviving child of this marriage) Johann and Maria Magdalena Van Beethoven. The first child of this marriage died at only six days. The couple had seven children only three survive Ludwing , Caspar Anton Karl (1774-1815) and Nikolaus Johann (1776-1848).

Mother with syphilis....hmmmm, Ludwing van Beethoven may have died of lead poisoning: www.cnn.com/2000/HEALTH/10/17/beethoven.hair/

    Question 2:
    B.
He was kicked out of office twice... just twice?
Sleeps until noon...and went to sleep at?

Ah but if you were enlightened you would already know.

I can't be bothered to go look it up to make sure. I think Nirvana is the hindu equivalent of Heaven. I could be wrong but I don't think so. If I'm right, may you find it without going blind

On the subject of syphilis did you know the treatment used to involve mercury also a common favourite used to be typhoid as the extreme temperatures used to kill off the spirochets' So if the thyphus didn't kill ya you were home free.

    What a world!

And don't get me started on the early treatmant for gonorrhoea

Well i wouldn't have killed Batoven but Hitler would be world leader because i don't like the first guys asociation with curption and i would want to know what b was kicked out of ofice for. Quite frankly what they all do on their own time is none of our business (who cares i Bill was cheating sorry though id through that in as an example cause i think the US pays to much atention to things like that and not to performance in the job they are elected to but its YOUR country)

Yep! I agree with you there. Doesnt matter what someone does in his spare time, unless its illegal or involves children of course. But I know tons of people that think very highly of Kennedy and YOU KNOW he was cheating! Even though Clinton wasnt a great president or anything - I think the media put way too much emphasis on his sexual habits

Nirvana is the state of nonexistence. the Hindi have som\e (to me, at least) pretty strange ideas of what is fun. the cyce of birth-death-rebitrth is suffering to them... and the gretaest evil is the concept of 'self' ERGO the state of non-being is the best there is: nirvana.
It litteraly means something like 'the state of a flame gone out'.

What does that look like? Well, probably it would not blind me. hehehe

Hitler certainly had character and it seems that usually the more crooked politicians that produce the better results when it comes to ruling. Really bizzare ways of thinking...

Oh, and Beethoven had character too! (This probably explains his Symphony #5 in C minor.)

ok- If anyone actually knew some history, they would realize that this forward is completely untrue. Beethoven's mother only had five children, three of whom survived, including Beethoven himself. They were all boys. She didn't have Syphilis, and she died of Tuberculosis. Next, there is absolutely no evidence of Franklin D. Roosevelt drinking 10 martinis per day. Look it up if you don't believe me. ThAnK YoU!!

i have no problem with candidate A actually. so he drank and smoked. bad for his health but big deal. i knew those things about hitler so i certainly wouldn't have picked C.

according to a jewish friend, hitler was actually a pretty charming mofo. he drank with the people, became their "friend", acted as an advocate for the masses and working class, stirred up feelings of patriotism and loyalty to germany. he was definitely the people's candidate. so he was appointed to power and flipped his lid. this doesn't sound very different from our own leader. how many flags can you count on the cars on your street? oh yes, don't forget that we're superior in every way to arabs

    Swede,
The flags have nothing to do with Bush. Many decided they would publicly declare their patriotic verve after 9-11.

I will answer the questionable questions anyway.

    1. No, I would not have her get an abortion. I would let her have the kid, then rip her uterus out and force her to eat it uncooked and without spices.

    2. Candidate B. Anyone that enjoys sleeping until noon is OK by me.
