My freind and I are taking a survey.....Who would win out of Ramboo and Chuck Norris from Delta Force? Seriously this is a major dissicussion between my freind and I, we need more input help.......Reply with your votes and I will let you know when we come to a conclusion...Your input would be much appreciated thanks.
probably chuck. they both are similar characters, but Rambo does not have the fighting skills like Chuck's character.
The characters that Chuck Norris plays are just as well trained in weapons and other military fighting as the characters that Sly Stallone plays. But Norris's characters have the added advantage of far superior martial arts expertise. Not just black belts in almost all of them but championship-class performance, the status of a sensei. That's because the actor himself has that skill and it can't help carrying over into the character. Also, Norris is enough older (65 vs. 54) to be a wiser and craftier opponent. Yet because he keeps himself in perfect condition, the 11-year difference does not create a serious disadvantage in strength, agility, and endurance. It's hard to separate actors from the characters they play, and neither of these guys even encourage us to do so. So I believe that using their real-life characteristics in this analysis is fair.
Hmmm John J. Rambo Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Maj. Scott McCoy Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! I'd vote for Rambo. Rambo has a size and weight advantage, moves a lot faster than Mccoy, and blows up alot more stuff during the movies/sequels. I also think Rambo had the deadlier task in NAM (Rambo was originally sent in to 'win by attrition'). Rambo is a total loner---- the entire baker team was wiped out. Mccoy still has a bunch of his buddies helping him out. In addition, among the huge amouts of dry personality impaired acting during these movies, Rambo was the only one that got to do a dramatic scene ("Nothing is over! Nothing! You don't just turn it off!")
I think Rambo would win ...mainly 'cause he don't give a damn about ethics and crap like that and he's much more willing to kill. Norris is one of those nice-guy fighters who knocks the guys down, then waits for them to get back up to fight again. Baron Max
John J. Rambo You know your stuff, except that norris is way faster that Rambo...It can be proven if you watch 1st blood back to back...Anyways im impressed and thanks for the input...
Rambo was fighting a one man guerilla war against the North Vietnamese after his squad was completely wiped out. He's been taught to make a weapon out of anything, taught to ignore pain and has some stunning one-liners. Chuck really only has his beard to go on. His martial arts are way too choreographed to be of any practical use other than confusing the hell out of his enemy. Rambo would decimate McCoy. McCoy is too old school.

John Rambo is mental. Chuckie is the guy next door with a black belt in karate. Rambo eats him alive. He learned to do that in his extensive training to become a mental.
Rambo's an American icon of psychotic masculinity. Chuck Norris is a quaint, Southwestern icon of drinking a glass of milk a day. As monkey said, Norris gets eaten alive.
Of course that stuff is choreographed. If he just let it fly he'd kill off all of his stunt men. Martial arts in movies have a tradition of being stylized. "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" and all that stuff. It goes back to Japanese and Chinese movies, long before it became popular fare in American movies. It doesn't mean these guys couldn't tear John Wayne apart with just a pair of chopsticks. Chuck Norris is a real martial arts expert. Not just someone with enough skill to do their own stunts like Peta Wilson or Jennifer Garner. Not that I don't respect that, it always makes a better movie or TV show when the star doesn't need a stunt double. But Norris is a master. Sly has got that damfool-crazy character down pat and it works for him. But I think a guy who is so good that he can just knock people down without killing them and walk away confidently would be able to hold his own against a guy who is always just barely in control. How about Clint Eastwood? He's too old now (75) to play in that league any more, but in his heyday his forte was being able to take any amount of punishment and keep getting back up. In the Sergio Leone westerns, or as Philo Beddoe the bare-knuckle fighter with the orangutan, he always got the absolute crap kicked out of him and it never stopped him. Rambo would have to blow him up and count the pieces to make sure he wouldn't show up in his bedroom the next night. And Chuck Norris would have to make an exception and kill this one. This is a tough question, so i went over to Chuck norris' house (he lives down the road) to ask him who he thought would win. He said he wouldn't stand a chance because it would be like fighting a rabid dog that happened to be armed with missile launchers and really big knives.
BTW-- I meant to reply to this earlier.... I dunno about not getting scratched. If I remember correctly, he ended up having to sew a huge cut on his arm with fishing line in the first flick, got dipped into a pit full of leaches and shock tortured in the second flick, and had to cauterize (sp) a gunshot wound in his leg during the third flick.
Rambo has proven time and again that he simply cannot be brought down. Let's not forget he could call on his later ego ummmm..... one Rocky Bal-friggin-boa!!!! The man cannot be stopped. He has beatin down men twice his size and intelligence. Round after round he ALWAYS gets back up.
