Well my mom is the worst driver I've ever known, she drives just under the speed limit in the fast lane in 3rd gear, and rides the clutch. But, my x g-friend was great, she was from Germany, and had plenty of experience on the autobahn, and they don't abide fools in the fast lane! I think it depends on the woman.
I think men are generally better because men are more likely to check their engine fluid levels and tire pressures before and after trips, all these are what technicaly makes one a good driver. Thus men are also more handy for long trips. Men are also more inclined to follow traffic laws than women and there is nothing more unstopable than a woman in a hurry.
i really dont think tire pressure is the issue. personally ive never heard of anyone getting rear-ended becuase the person behind them suddenly saw their "low oil" light come on. I have however, been rear ended by a man who, and lemme quote this, "I saw the red light and knew you were stopped and i slowed down, but then i just took my foot off the brake.. i don't know what happened." the same man had hit my mother the week before. I really don't think him being an idiot had anything to do with either of our tire pressure.

heya asy. hehe i was referring more to the male state of mind, always foused on one thing. i wasn't referring to the act itself. annnd.. it isnt that we "take longer", its just that were still waiting for it to get better. hahahahaaha
Women are the worst drivers on the road. They lack the aggresive behavior of a male and tend to panic in tense situations not to mention yacking away on cell phones. It has also been proven the girls tend to driver faster with/without passangers while males tend to drive faster only with passangers making them more dangerous.
I think that only some of the women drivers are bad. Especially the ones who just got their driver's license.
my opinion is : men are the problem, they drive too fast, faster then women which trigger miles of traffic problems. not all women are ''bad'' drivers, they have a better metanoia but are probably in less control in difficult situations in traffic. maybe because of the short time of independance? this is my western way of looking at the problem, there are many cultures whithout female drivers / independance. maybe it is a cultural problem.
