    Yeah, I'm keeping up with the news on this. It's insane. It was bound to happen though with it being below sea level and being in hurricane alley. No more Mardi Gras.

    A friend of mine in Texas says that the levees protecting New Orleans are only good for a category 3 storm. This is a category 5.

    And they're evacuating a modern city with 24 hours notice!!!!!!!
    Good luck to them.

    New Orleans will probably get obliterated, or at the very least, sunk. You guys think it'll return to its former glory, if it does get wiped out?

    I have a serious suggestion for reporters who are covering the storm. Wear safety glasses! You don't look good anyway. There's no point in not protecting your eyes from the rain and windblown river or sea water. There's a reporter who's practically blind on CNN, who is letting rainwater into his eyes at top speed.
