Does anyone know if X3 has made any progression? I really want to see it, and with Bryan Singer dropping out and all that I have no clue how much longer I need to wait.

Sidenote: Who's your favorite X-Man? Why?

Mine's Gambit (Remy LeBeau), because I love the main facet of his power. I'm also a sucker for accents. He's also so devoted to Rogue, and she doesn't deserve him, nbecause he is a good person. (I'll also admit I like Cyclops, even though Wolvie is better, Cyke is an asset to the team, and Remy's devotion reminds me of his.)

I also really like Northstar (Jean-Paul Beaubier), although technically he's Alpha Flight. He joined the X-Men.

It's such a hard thing to decide, I also love Storm, and Pheonix... but I just don't know. I'll go with Gambit for now.

(I'm very indecisive, coulja tell?) *chuckles*

X 3 Caste Sighting On Location

I am on vacation in Victoria, British Columbia with my kids, staying at the Marriott Hotel Inner Harbour. We were leaving for an outing for the day late and when we arrived in the lobby... the entire cast was checking into the hotel to shoot on the island of Vancouver. We saw Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Shawn Ashmore, and Famke Janssen.... we didn't see Halle Barray or Ian McKellen... but they might have been arriving later..... So X 3 sometime in 2006!!!!!

she permanently steals someones powers (Ms Marvel, I think). its been a while, so that could be wrong, but I know she steals someone's powers.

as for the x-men, probably Colossus, he just kicks ass.

    About Rogue.
I used to have a comic book when I was a kid (back when Kitty Pryde was still Wolverine's little girl buddy (what is it with him and little girls anyway? Oh. He's Canadian... Heh. Kidding.))

Anyway. Back in this comic book, the whole team was getting their asses kicked by Juggernaught and Rogue ended up taking everybody's powers to save them all. Of course, it was only a temporary drain, but this is where she got the white strip in her hair. Storm, at the time, had a mohawk and so that's why it's just a stripe in her hair and not fully white.

I think she had a mohawk. I might be mixing that up with the whole Callisto and the Morlocks thing... I know Storm had a mohawk then...
    Hmm.

Anyway. I clearly remember that Juggernaught had collapsed a building on them and they were on the fast train to deadsville until Rogue did her thing.

I didn't have a steady supply of comics back then so I don't know which, if any, of her powers stuck around from then. I do know that her hair never went back. Unless she got a white stripe in her hair again from some other means...

As to my favorite... Has to be Wolverine. Just because he's so psychotic. The problem with him is that they've watered him down so much. Used to be that he was a wild dog. He was the kind of guy where you'd come down to breakfast and there'd be Wolvie eating his Grape Nuts with Kitty Pryde dead on the table next to him with her head cut off and he'd be like, "Oh. Her? Meh. She started screaming and stuff... Bub."
They really made him too tame in the newer comics.

My favorite mutant would have to be Colossus's brother. Forget his name. But his power was to be able to change one state of energy to another which basically made him all-powerful. He took iceman and broke him. Made him into a full-on iceman instead of a wimpy guy with an icy coating. He was all spiky and crazy and shit. (This was before the Infinity Gauntlet when I seem to remember him getting more control of his icy powers on his own.) Dude eventually changed him back, but he went nuts and he had to be killed... or something. I know he died.

I suppose Legion was cool too.

Really, my favorites were in the Age of Apocalypse. That was a sweet tangent. Very sweet. The sweetness of the rotting corpses in piles. Ah. The cullings. I love evil imagery.

Rogue could fly in the cartoon. My friend tell sme she perma drained someone to get her flying superpower.

Ah that rocks! They left us hanging in X2! So to know what happened is cool. Opinion wise I thought Jane (I think that’s her name?) formed into a phoenix! If I were to guess the strongest person in the team I would say…Storm, she has the ability to control the weather if she were to lose control the delicate balance of the weather would be broken, which should cause another ice age! : )

Yeah is was Ms. Marvel that Rogue got her superstrength and the ability to fly, not bad going really.

I hope they put Gambit in this one as he was a cool character in the cartoon series.

Jean (not Jane) Grey has turned into Phoenix (easily the most powerful X Man - she practically ate the universe in one go

)at the end of X-2, but if you go frame by frame when Mystique (they should've stuck with the original costume) is hacking Stryker's computer there's few names I wouldn't mind seeing in X3 - Omega Red, Jamie Madrox, Muir Island etc, etc.
And it was a mistake putting Jackman in as Wolvie (lathough he made a good job of it). The long-running joke was always about Wolverine being a short-arse. And why did his dog-tag say Wolverine rather than Logan?
Can anyone tell me why I gave away BOTH my copies of X Men #1 when I was a kid?

Wow, I am amazed at the lack of comic-knowledge here. The cartoon doesn't follow the same storyline as the comics, and they don't explain much (especially about Rogue.) But the movies don't explain even more. How many people know about Mystique being Rogue's foster mother for a while? Or her fling with Magneto? She, in fact, got most of her powers from Ms. Marvel (flying, strength, etc...) but later lost them. though she did get Sunfire's powers later.

Also, no one knows Rogue's real name (in the comics), but in the movie they just blurt out "Marie" as if it's been known all alone.

But I am not saying the movies aren't good. They are, in fact, very entertaining. Plus, Anna Paquin is nice to look at. But I just wish Stan Lee would follow his own damn comics a little more.

But it would be nice to see Sentinels, the Brood, Angel (would they make his wings look believable?), Morlocks, and a million and one others. How about Mojo?
    Spin-offs:
    Team X vs Mission Impossible?
    Tarzan in the savage Land
    Starjammers meet Trek
    Shi'ar meet Star Wars
    Brood vs Aliens???
