The british university system is easier then the same courses in say france or america.Yet lots of students fail every year because they dont give a shit, and spend their time in pubs becoming alcoholics.

You get lazy bastards who are lucky in a way:

One fellow I know, named Ian, Does a course in Computing science, in a university that wont be named (its a good one).He does absolutely nothing the entire year, he lives with his parents, He drives his fathers car, He dosnt show up for lectures. Yet he passes his course every year because his dad happens to be head of the department, and he is 26 years old for that matter. He is one of the lucky fuck heads who are too lazy to try, for now he has his father to save his ass. One day, however, he will get a job and realise he knows jack shit.

And its exactly this kind of people that I dispise, So I partly agree with vinnie, some University students are assholes.

Trust me it was a standard PM I sent out to almost everybody , I thought this Forum would go belly up . I have never debated with our forum morris dancer Vincent before , so I am sorry , I should of been more selective . But I can tell you reading his posts I take it back . Oh you are in bonny scotland, i lived and worked there for 5 months once 15 years ago, the scottich accent is not easy to understand even for a uk citizen.

Very hard talking the scots and very hard whisky drinkers, i can see why a russian vodka drinker would go to the whiskey capital of the world.

I can not say, i enjoyed my time in scotland, i found alot of the youth were on drugs, and some that i was working with were inhaling lighter fuel.

It just seemed so different from people in my home city in newcastle,
although it has very good scenery.

i dont think thats true,cant speak for france but someone i know did a year at mit and said that they give you more work but that its easier.

 

The Scotish accent is very annoying sometimes, although I can understand it clearly now.

The youth here are... either insane.. or doomed.. I dont know how to describe it, It seems like 70% of them are heading for oblivion, drugs, underage pregnancy, violence an area in the city Glasgow by the name of Blackhill is the most deprived area in Europe.

Scenery is nice I agree, so are alot of the people, who are'nt the younger generation.

Ok fine alot of American universities are worse than British ones, I made an assumption based on school comparisons. France however has the strongest mathmatics courses in europe, because they beat the information into the students untill they bleed, its difficult, but in the end the graduates are much more qualified.

I wont even speak about russia, as someone will acuse me of being biased and nationalist.

 

UPDATE : Since I posted the below comment, the Telegraph page reads "story temporarily suspended", apparently while changes are made.

This is a pathetic propaganda ploy to try to create a new case for invadinbg Iran after the IAEA killed the nuclear weapons claim. This whole article is a pile of crap, and in particular, the claim that shaped charges are used to fire projectiles is total nonsense. A shaped charge is used IN the projectile to penetrate armor when it hits the target. The author of this piece is clearly uneducated about military technology.
