The Jokey Pokey Liars (JPL) Press Conference for Mars Odyssey

    http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/odyssey/newsroom/pressreleases/02mar01.html

I cashed in a favor and gave a friend a 6 hour blank VCR to record today's Mars Odyssey Press Conference on his satellite dish where he gets NASA TV. This is the FIRST press conference for this mission since the spacecraft went operational 'officially' on February 19, 2002. I should have saved the favor. I'll have 6 hours of material I should forward to Chris Rock, Dennis Miller or Comedy Central. Maybe I should send it to an 'abuse in government' talking-head shop that litter Washington DC like fallen petals from the Cherry Blossom trees, because in no way have they lived up to their promise made in an article to just '...get it (the data) out there'.

    http://www.space.com/missionlaunches/odyssey_update_020121.html

"We're going to try to cover all that in the first month or so, and release the data immediatelyand just get it out there," Saunders told SPACE.com.
"There's always a sense, true or not, that we're not getting it [data] out fast enough. It's not always the fault of any particular investigator or mission. It just has to do with planning and money," Saunders said. "We're going to try and solve that by giving out what may be the most interesting stuff in general as soon as we can," he said."

Not only did they NOT release any "interesting" images of the Cydonia area, the polar areas with life forms, or any other anomalous area; they also did not release a single REAL COLOR image of Mars!!! Finally we have a camera that can take a real color image of the Martian surface showing what it would look like from orbit to a human eye. Well guess what? We STILL cannot see what Mars would look like to a human from orbit. We STILL cannot tell if the dark areas are bluish or greenish in hue? We STILL cannot tell the true color of the wind swept dunes from the polar regions to drifting (colorful?) clouds of dust through the storms across the face of that (red/butterscotch/chocolate/white???) enigmatic orb.
    We are STILL plainly color-blind.

Now, it is NOT a matter of money nor planning. This is the first public relations' spin, are they out of buck-a-roos ALREADY that they can't process a real valid color image for us with that camera? Planning? PLEASE!!! They held off release because they said they had to 'calibrate' the thing. Hey Joker Pokers...did you 'calibrate' the real color right off the surface of the planet??? Will we forever be staring at Mars like Monica-In Black n White forever? Will the REAL Monica Mars-(In Black n White) step forward to answer questions? Or will all you ever give to us is that 'multi-spectral pseudo-color infrared image' hokey-pokey as a pay-back for the gains that 'pseudo-science' has made DESPITE your every effort to squash, mash, obliterate, obfuscate, twist, turn, or otherwise just plain mangle the Cydonia area to no avail? I mean really fellas, you were SUPPOSED to be calibrating this thing for REAL COLOR IMAGES!!! And we can't have even ONE (1) lousy real color image? What pokers. Monica was more truthful than you jokers were, and funnier.

The 'big' news of the day, it's a mite wet down there. Well hey, even Dr. Mikey's come around and been saying that for awhile now, didn't you get the memo? When was the last time you checked your in-box? That is NOT 'news'. The stuff is SEEPING out all over the place if one would bother to look.

So here's some advice, get your eyes off your colons and back into the air, it's a real live COLORFUL Universe out here, it also smells better than where you are now and the smelly baloney you've been trying to force us to eat.

    Let's taunt a Billionaire to Mars ! ! ! Beats Begging.

You sound like you think no honest, reasonably informed person could disagree with your conspiracy theories. That's not true.

Nighttime infrared image shows a massively disrupted region on Mars called Hydaspsis Chaos, near the equator. Rocks remain warm and bright at night. Dust is cooler and dark.

It is most interesting you posting that image from the press conference. Within a few days several people had put together studies to find and point out where this particular image came from with Viking and MGS MOC images. This happened because someone had claimed that the regularity 'could' be signs of anomalous origin. In my honest opinion this is a natural feature and can best be seen in the proper context with the Viking image in the collage below:

    http://www.electricwarrior.com/mol/ewMarsHydaspsisChaos.jpg

The infrared image from Odyssey clearly shows the upper left portion of the Viking Image clearly. There are many corresponding features and matches of symetry with that mid-upper Viking image. I personally can't see where in the MOC image 'specifically' the Odyssey image comes from. The MOC image is a WA image and not a NA. A narrow angle his-res image of the area by the MOC, if it has been taken, has NOT been released yet. Embargo and all that. However, one would have thought that with such an interesting image, the press conference would have taken some time to show the correlations with previous observations and explain to the public how 'their' instrument in going to be better than what we had. They didn't do that. With not even a single true full color image from ANYWHERE on the planet with the THEMIS, it is not surprising they didn't do a comparison with what they did show.

Monica Weeping Seeps in Black and White

Once more the Jokey Pokeys are releasing dribs n drabs of the least inspiring and re-hashed already discovered processes.

More Monica "Weeping Seeps in Black and White":

Sheesh...I wonder if the Babylonian's had this much trouble with their 'high priests' of religious dogmaticism.

COLOR Joker Pokers! WE WANT NATURAL COLOR! Get with it. The congregation is restless.

Maybe if we sent the Joker Pokers some Kleenix they'd get over themselves?

rhw007 is a well know JPL/NASA basher. There are many others. They never listen to reason and are relentless in their pursuit to expose that which they know nothing about.

    Negative attention.

    They are best ignored.

Actually, I KNOW the Odyssey camera can acquire natural color images so we can finally tell the TRUE COLOR of Mars as seen by the human eye from orbit. Also NASA/JPL/UnivAz have NOT lived up to promises they have made regarding the release of images and data from the spacecraft. This is provable FACT and Brutal Truth, no matter how much you might wish it wasn't.

    already have

If you would bother to investigate FULLY the links and issues covered in the first post to this thread you would see that I already HAVE proved they lied. In that interview to space.com the project scientist promised releases of areas of unique interest and other areas within a month, they have not.period.

There are other promises broken like the pre-announcing of ALL the Cydonia imaging data BEFORE the camera acquires the image and IMMEDIATE posting to the internet once the image IS acquired, but somehow I think you also wouldn't 'get it' still. If I am wrong, check this out for yourself:

    http://mpfwww.jpl.nasa.gov/mgs/cydonia.html

They have NOT lived up to this promise in the four years since it was made. period. Brutal Truth.

I read them, and you answered it yourself by quoting them:
You are upset because they are not releasing what is of interest to you. News Flash: there are other people interested in what HAS been released. You'll have to wait your turn, I guess. Or, since they state it is an issue of finances, send them some money.

From the last link you provided:
Does not say when they will post them, does it?

    Peace.
