The entire topic of subliminal messaging is a fascinating one. I’m driven to comment but I fear I have nothing further to add. I believe that intuitive communication is occurring constantly and not always deliberately between conscious beings. A mind is not in total control over the information it projects outwardly. I think the practice of subliminal messaging is ubiquitous. Not only is it practiced consciously but unconsciously. I have thought long and hard on this subject for some time now. Flirtation is filled with subliminal messaging, sex being such a central part of human psychology and all human interaction entails some form of it, even when both parties are not aware of it. Technology has added a new layer of subliminal messaging in out daily lives. It has become institutionalized and is used as a tool of coercion and control. With the advent of marketing it has become a science. How something is being said, just as much as what is being said, sends messages to the recipient. How sentences are formed, what words are used, convey imagery and textures of nuance. But I think animals send unconscious subliminal messages to each other as well. Cats, dogs, monkeys all pass information to each other through physical means.
Look, to me, it's unfair that we are influenced by forces outside of our control against our will. What will come next, will we be given subliminal messages that tell us who to vote for? Will political campaigns start using these messages too? JLocke
