What does beauty mean to you. Can you describe what is beauty and somethings that are beautiful to you?

Something that is beautiful affects a person in a way that makes it pleasurable for them to view/experience the thing. It is something they have a desire for, and would never tire of. Kant thought that beauty was caught up in play. Sort of my suggesting of never tiring of something. He believed that if we can continually look at/experience something in new ways, that the beauty was therein. On the otherhand, if we tired of it, or if we found the meaning too easy and singular then there was no beauty, or little beauty at all.
Something I can say, beautiful things are things which hold our interest.
    To me, beauty is:
Waking up of my own accord with a gentle breeze and a ray of sunlight on my face.
    Yeats's poetry.
    A first kiss.
    A sketch in charcoal.
    The sun setting.
    New snow.
    Orchids.
The first time that I see my best friend again, after a long absense.
An old married couple holding hands and walking down the street.
    Renaissance architecture.
    Oxford on a sunny morning.
    Stone henge in the fog.

    Beauty is everywhere.
It can be lines in a movie. I saw a preview for a movie the other day.
She told him: "Don't even think about it."
    He said: "I never do."
Then he flew in front of the missile to make it chase him.
The movie actually doesn't look very good.
But that part certainly was moving.
    Beautiful!

I am a guitarist, and I think its overkill, too.

However, that's a perfect example of how beauty works. You find beauty in its design. That is magnificent!

Beauty is subjective, but as long as you find something beautiful, you can be happy.

Beauty is not in certain things it's in everything. Because one person may think it's beautiful yet another may think it's not. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, you can make anything beautiful.

Beauty to me is something in people that you see is genuine, what makes them special. Of course nature is beautiful. Some people don't realise how beautiful they really are, and I'm not talking about the physical side. Society has disguised beauty with models and celebrities, it's all fake.

Something beautiful to me is in communication. Coversation that comes from two or more people, from seemingly incongruent spaces in life in the world, that comes together, one crossing over the other and the next, hand over hand and step by step, to some agreement or discovery, old or new. Synergy.

I find this here all the time and I swear I cant think of too many things in this world that are as beautiful to me.

It can be found anywhere and everywhere.
    Virginia Woolf wrote of beauty:
"No one can count on it or seize it or have it wrapped in paper. Nothing is to be won from the shops, and Heaven knows it would be better to sit at home than haunt the plate–glass windows in the hope of lifting the shining green, the glowing ruby, out of them alive. Sea glass in a saucer loses its lustre no sooner than silks do. Thus if you talk of a beautiful woman you mean only something flying fast which for a second uses the eyes, lips, or cheeks... to glow through."

This probably sounds lame, but I agree with Beauty is in the eye of the beholder or w/e. To me, beauty is life. Then again, maybe i'm completely wrong

What is beautiful is the screams of pain coming form my victims mouth as I sever his testicles and place alcohol over the wound.

The gushing blood splattering over the urine stained floor is divine.

Then listening to him plead for his life, as vomit and snot slides down his body makes me tingle.

That sounds as if it would be horrific not beauty as I know it. I would think that you only say this as a troll to get a reply so that you can show that your type of beauty is not the same as many here who have already replied. Saying that I feel that you should troll other threads for we know what you are doing to provoke an argument like others that cannot accept reality but only want chaos and confusion. Be gone.

Beauty is entirely subjective, and yet it is not. Many people agree on things that are beautiful: roses, sunny days, a pretty girl. Yet some people may find beauty to be something no one else would consider--a tornado, a nerd, or a graveyard.

Beauty in its definition is something that we are attracted to sensually. Usually the sense is sight, but we can taste or smell beauty as well. Music can sound beautiful. Beauty can be more abstract--such as the concept in the depths of a poem or quote may be beautiful.

Beauty is like a rainbow--many colors, no clearly defined lines between each color, fleeting, a juxtaposition of two unrelated things (sun and rain), and uncapturable.

I have this fungus growing around my ass crack now, and it gets itchy. Sometimes I'll steal a moment when I'm walking, or in class, to really give it a good scratch- that's what beauty is to me.

    This is true.
