<p>At first sight it seems incredible that Quatrain 10.72, the only prediction
that Nostradamus ever risked, became true. </p>
<p>In fact the first reason why the prediction was fulfilled is very simple: the
timing was right. Major events in the history of Mankind HAD to happen around
the year 2000.</p>
<p>In face of the extreme degree of brainwash and the great expectations
associated with this prophecy, how can you be surprised that God intervened one
more time to help humans, to let the prophecy fulfill exactly in the time frame(s)
specified?</p>
<h4>... and yet nobody wanted to see it</h4>
<p>Still before the end of the millenium, it should be clear how the prophecy
was fulfilled. And yet, even today, five and a half years later, I realised that
there's still no comprehensive explanation of these events, as you can check for
instance with the google search used as URL&nbsp; for this article.</p>
<h3>Quatrain 10.72 - How Nostradamus did it</h3>
<h4>Quatrain X.72 - literal translation ...</h4>
<p>X.72 is the only exception to the golden rule of the deception technique
described (1). A precise date is given: the seventh month of 1999, i.e. anywhere from July 14 through
13 August 1999 in the gregorian calendar that was introduced after Nostradamus
wrote</p>

this was the translation that the illuminati media

<p>These were the known observations and facts that caused Nostradamus in this case to risk

<li>The date for the birth of Jesus linking the end of the millemium to the deadline for that process.</li>
<li>Total solar eclipse visible in Europe at the end of the seventh month of
the last year of the millenium (July 31, i.e. August 11, 1999)&nbsp;</li>

<h4>Quatrain X.72 - How did Nostradamus package the date</h4>
<p><i>Ciel</i> (sky / heaven); <i>Mois</i> ( Month / Months)&nbsp;</p>

<li>The technique of using words / building the phrase to allow for multiple
interpretations.&nbsp;</li>
<li> In the case of <i> ciel</i> Nostradamus meant heaven, as you can deduct
from what he meant with <i>Angolmois</i>, <i>deffrayeur </i>and<i> resusciter</i>.</li>
<li>Since Nostradamus's reference point is July 31 (Julian calendar), using
the word <i>mois</i> is a brilliant solution to cover July (month) or August
(months).</li>

<b>the only prediction that the fraud known as Nostradamus ever risked was fullfilled.</b>

<p>How did all those possible interpretations of his "prediction" come true?

come up with the answer. But considering the brainwash level today, I feel I

In his troubled period, under constant threat, Nostradamus was an historian who described events of his time. The events happened of course before he wrote about them, but he disguised them in a sort of coded French. This has been demonstrated by French authors who happen to know Nostradamus well--and to read French, even coded French.

All the nonsense about his quatrains is simply that: nonsense. The quatrain you mention above was also applied to the 1999 death of John Kennedy, Jr's airplane crash in July (the 7th month).

His verse is written in very strict adherence to contemporary French poetry, in vers commun. His subject matter wasn't random and contained single subjects, which often centered on historical incidents of identifiable events past or contemporary to Nostradamus. For the quatrains that cannot be readily applied to historical events as known today, one need only considere that the details of court gossip or small-town histories have often been lost over the past five hundred and fifty years.

Nostradamus used fractured grammar to create double or triple meanings and developed enigmas to give his readers the satisfaction of interpreting them by useing a vocabulary of homonyms and antonyms to create multiple possible meanings. Significance junkies jump on this sort of thing and look for the "hidden" meanings, and attempt to apply them to modernity. Nostradamus would be quite pleased indeed!

I'm sure he would have been best mates with P.T. Barnum.

By the way, the original poster has been spamming this particular woo-woo spiel on various places of the internet. He also has a christian doomsday/antichrist website if I'm not mistaken. As if that sort of superstitious nonsense were any better received than Nostradamus.

SkinWalker, you try to suggest the opposite of my post (that shows how Nostradamus fooled the masses) and suggest that you contribute to what I'm asking for (a comprehensive explanation of how the prophecy was fullfilled) - what you don't do.

 

In another thread I explained how people that were called to act as advisors usually developed ways to manipulate either their words to events or events to their words.

Nostradamus was not the first to have been preposed to have mystical qualities, for instance the "Oracle" from Ancient times and it's likely he will not be the last suggested to have such qualities either.

However such people in a modern society with modern scientific teachings and the need for "Exact" answers usually allows any such frauding methods to be seen for what they are, making such people a very rare breed.

Indeed, there is no evidence to support any of the so-called prophecies people have uttered in history.

More likely, you are trolling for discussion; baiting us with a pre-planned arangement of posts and subjective answers and loose interpretations of the intentionally vague works of a 16th century writer.

The ability to fortell future events has never been empirically demonstrated nor is it likely to ever be. But if you are looking for social validation and the achievment of some sort of legitimacy or status among peers, then you may have come to the right place. Eventually, some nutter or woo-woo will click on the thread and buy into your spiel.

Simply it's a little "story" some might say, however it might bare the fruits of truth to some and the hallmarks of contempt to others. I'm not trying to manipulate my envisonment of what occured in the ancient past, however you should perhaps not conclude events of the present based on 2000 year old fantasies.

I'm sorry, Matt, I read through your post regarding the quatrain, but I failed to understand what the event was of September 1999 that is supposed to have fulfilled Nostradamus's prediction.

Unless it's a major global headline, however, it's not likely to raise any interest. And please don't come up with more of this "secret history" stuff (like how JFK was "allowed" to become US President, etc) because nobody is remotely convinced of that without some substantial documentary backup.
