I'm on Firefox as well, but I still have IE installed. For some reason, I've lost all of my bookmarks twice on Firefox (I've been using Firefox for maybe a year or so now). Don't know why it happens, but I just export my bookmarks now. ahem. anyway.

I use Safari, IE, and Firefox at school in our Digital Photography Lab, I really don't like any of them, but Firefox is still my favorite. I just wish our Macs had scroll wheels in the center of them for easy tabbed browsing, but eh. whatever.

Actually, no problem with it if you spend a day getting used to it. No need to right-click. No need to decide where's right, where's left.

I have no need to decide, it's auto-pilot for me.

I use IE pretty much exclusively. It's utilitarian for me. It works, doesn't give me problems. *shrug* It's just a freakin browser for chrissake. Translate words into formatting commands and a keen layout. Neato. No reason to get all uppety about new pieces of software to perform simple tasks like that unless the tools you have don't work. It works for me.

After all, who would wish to suffer such a monumental burden?

If you don't have the middle button and want to open tabs easier, can't you just hold Control while left clicking?

Yes, but I like to surf without lifting both arms at once.

    Because I'm lazy.

And I got spoiled with the combination of scroll wheels and tabs.

oh? here, check out Firefox, because it appears that most people use it here -> http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
    it's free of course
umm, just a question, I hope you don't mind:
Did you think that people on Linux use IE to access the web?

Of course, that's how it happens mostly.
Out of curiousity, why did you install Firefox on some and Opera on others?

p.s. Don't you think that some people might get pissed off by the google advert atop?
It doesn't bother me (when I use Opera), but it seems that it is better to install Firefox. Just a thought.

I use Firefox on my desktop, Laptop and at work. I am forced to use IE at school. The only strange thing is that Firefox had a tendency to just disappear for no reason no matter what computer I run it on.

Ever since someone suggested Firefox here a long time ago, I almost never use anything else.... I only use IE in occasions since my uni's network's Microsoft based.

    That brings about one question:
Certain links open with IE (which I still left on my comp) by default. Some websites (like that of my bank

) refuse other browsers. Does anyone know what to do about those webpages?

There were questions around as to why not IE. I have nothing against IE, but against Bill Gates. Don't use MS Office either ...

I sent a mass of emails with complains about IE only errors and suggestions how to fix them to my banks' computer department. In a few months they had the i-bank compatible with w3 standarts and Linux.

If it's only the notification that you should use another browser, you can set that your browser identifies to the net like IE6.
