100 is normal 1 out of 10 have 120 120 is above normal That's what they say... But remember that IQ tests only measure IQ, not intelligence. If you've never done an IQ test, it can be that you get like 89, and if you've done it 5 times, you can suddenly get like 140.

First try ? There's no such thing as improving IQ. Why does this idea persist ? :bugeye: Using that logic, even someone with mild retardation could achieve Mensa level ? I don't think so. Even if small gains can be reached through repeated practice of some exercises, they are not permanent. When I was in Grade 1, my nonverbal IQ was scored as 140. Based on the internet IQ tests and the IQ tests at university, my scores range from 130 to 160. However, I'm not so sure about my Executive Functioning IQ. That may need some work.
I wonder why this is still alive? But it is so nice to brag with ones IQ, right? Mental masturbation... just go ahead, who really cares for those numbers. sorry to jump in, but, what exactly do you do on an IQ test? I have never taken one. are there any online ones that look like the official ones, that would be easier than describing it to me.
ive taken a multiple choice IQ Test online, and got 145. is that good? Computer thing said it was, but i'm not sure...
You just answer some logical questions like 4 6 12 15 30... Which number comes next? The tests include different aspects of intelligence, like mathematical, verbal, geometrical (?) and logical. The ones at http://www.highiqsociety.org/ are supposed to be good. Try them out if you like, I never have the patience. Don't believe everything you read, Einstein. If you take several IQ tests it's easy to get over 140. If you want to know your IQ more accurately, take only few in your life. There's no need to test is so often, you just get too used to the questions and the result becomes inaccurate. It is said that only approximately 1% of the people in the world have an IQ of 135 or over. I heard that Adolf Hitler had 141.
damn! according to http://www.highiqsociety.org/ I am 2 points from being gifted (me=125, gifted=127). I guess that is not bad since I have not even looked at ones of these tests in 4-5 years.

I got 136 on that one. it is a stupid site though, it makes you sign up with your email (I knew I held onto my hotmail account for something =]). it is not a very good test anyway, the one on highiqsociety.org was way better.
I wish people wouldn't be so 'obsessed', or concerned, about their IQ. I just get the feeling they are. I've heard there's also something called EQ (emotional quotient). IQ and EQ should be in balance.
