    He uses the superior apple hardware, and runs linux on it.

    Anything is better than x86 really. I'd take a SPARC or Mac anyday if the price were right

    Creator of software uses hardware! Shock Horror!

    I have a mac running linux, I also have a pa-risc box and an UltraSPARC box running linux. I've previously had a MicroVAX, Alpha, Dreamcast, Playstation, and an SGI-MIPS box running linux. Linux != x86.

    despite being a mac fan, it should be noted that the machine was a gift; install linux on it, or spend $3k to get a similar AMD system, and install linux on it?

    no surprise, really. the surprise would have been if he hadn't accepted it!

    you can install new OS to consoles??
