I just watched the end of wolf's Rain, I have the say it was a very anti-climatic ending. I’ll discuses what I thought of it below, any one have a different opinion of what happened in the end. Warning spoiler Anyone that knows Buddhist or Hindu religion knows of how the universe cycles and that the world is not real, there is not past or present and the world repeats its self forever. In the end everyone in the series dies, The Lunar flower pops into seeds, the world freezes over, Kiba dies(?) alone knowing the truth: there is no paradise, the world simple starts again. In the repeated world they show the characters again, in human form living on, are they aware of their previous lives? What’s with Darcia eye, they show it rotting there in a marsh of flowers and it seems to darkened the water and flowers around it, what that about? This ending leaves more questions then even evangilions ending! I feel fuck over.
Don't they have like 3 million Naruto episodes?...how do these guys animate so fast?...Does Japan run like animating sweatshops? These guys really extend their series long. I remember reading that an ordinary smaurai novel could last about 40 volumes with each volume being 300+ pages.
What? you did know that already!? In Japan animators are worked so hard that their hands become arthritic and useless relatively quickly, at which point the company puts a bullet between the animators eyes and sends his body off to a glue factory. Big garbage cans filled with lame animators are ship off to make glue every week! They even breed animators for endurances and artistic quality. I'm telling you not only is their animation industry ten times the size of ours but they are light years ahead of us in animation technology and stucture. Yes sir its a brave new world of animation over there.
We get a channel here that has only anime shows, my first intro to anime. I used to think it was crap but it's pretty decent. Get Backers and Rurouni Kenshin are pretty good, so is Inu Yasha. I liked the Rurouni Kenshin OVAs... really brilliant.
Well, I just bought a few books out of the Angel Sanctuary series, and I must say, it's not that bad. I never knew manga(and anime) could get so "nasty." Even in Sailor Moon you have homosexuals, trannys and so on. Are things like this widely excepted in Japan? I know that if an American author wrote a books with things in Japanese manga, and recommended it for ages 15+, there would be a big problem. I really don't have a problem with this, adding a gender confused young boy to the story just makes things more exciting and interesting.
Tsukuyomi ~Moon Phase~. Maria-sama ga Miteru. Maria-sama ga Miteru Spring Season. Ah! My Goddess the TV series. My-Hime (also known as Mai-HiME). Bleach. Things to look out for this season. All of them are currently unlicensed at the time of the writing of this post. They're all pretty good. Keep in mind that once they get licensed, they become significantly difficult to download (and do refrain from downloading licensed series. support the people who create the good stuff). Cheers.
Blood the last vampire was by far the best anime i have ever seen. ANybody have recomendations on anything better.
Anime like Last EXILE and Gilgamesh is true Masterpieces of popArt mix with scifi !! I don't understand why we only see the horrible annoying shit like Yugiooh-no on tv, vel is ok if you are 5 years and let them send em for the kids, they get there heads fill up with so mush shit that are immune, just don't mistake it for the art form of Anime.
Chobits. The entire series is so much fun. It's got all the elements of a great story, humour, serious plot, a bit of steaminess, questions of ethics and life. It's just a great series.
I just finished reading the Chobits manga a couple weeks ago. I find Chi's innocence heartbreakingly cute. It's adorable when she poses with the women in Hideke's dirty magazines. It would be great having a chobit or persocom, I would spend all day using her as my playmate. How do you pronounce chobits? Is it CHOB-BITS, or CHOBE-ITS?
Does anyone else read the Berserk mangas? I want to buy the boxset, but for over $100, I'm not sure it's worth it. I'm just wondering if any of you read and if you you do, could you tell me which manga is the best as far as gore or storyline so I can just skip right to it.
