If You have a pet cat(s), post it's (their) names. Blitzy (male) Pandora (female) Sammy Jo (male) Church (male)
My cat's name is Sabbath. As you may guess, she's all black, but that's not actually where she got her name. A friend of mine got another black cat, a male, and named it sabbath, because he was insanely religious. Then that cat disppeared. Shortly afterward, my cat showed up across town as a stray. So, we figured that my cat was a reincarnation of the original sabbath. Later, I found out that mine was female, but the name stuck.
my all black cat's name is raven. when i was a viking, my friend she was a raven. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

4th person I know of with a female cat named Pandora. Seems like a popular or cat "cultural" name probably because of the "trouble" they can get into. - N

Audible, that is awesome, Cassy is a strange cat name. I haven't ever heard of a cat named Cassy. ANd what ever it's called under your name, isn't that French for "I am all ears"? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
yes it does mean all ears, Cassy just suits her it just popped in my head, while I was petting her, she suddenly went on a mad half hour, running around all excited. she hides behind the door frame when I come home and attacks my feet as I walk in then I sit, she runs and jumps on the sofa wraps herself round my hand play fighting and huddles up for a stroke. this is her little welcoming ritual everyday. Ocho the oldest, has a little ritual also everynight when I finish work he waits at the corner, I get dropped off about two hundred yards from my house, so he gets carried home. I love cats mainly because, cats give their affection because they want to, they are a very independant animal, if you dont treat a cat right it will find another home.
Our last cats were Dorian Grey (because he was grey) and Shamach (the Hebrew word for "happy.") We've learned since then to be careful what we name a pet because the gods have seen fit to amuse themselves by making our pets grow up to suit their names. Dorian Grey never looked one day older until he died at 17. Shamach was the happiest cat we've ever known, she would spend hours running around the house with a sponge stuck on a tooth making "sponge voice" because it muted her sounds. Since then we've named two birds Amelia Earhart and Icarus, both of whom were lost in flight. We caught on and named the next one after Thalia, the Muse of Comedy, and the first sound she learned to mimic was laughter. Most recent is the very small dog named Batman, who can swoop out of a very high window.
cat- Annbolyn (one of Henry the VII's wives) dog- Puck (after Shakespear's "A Mid Summer Nights Dream")
I've had a ton of cats, so I may forget a few (what a sad thought) Earliest I remember was Jack, I was maybe 3 or 4, but I don't remember if it was me or my mother that named him. Then Velcro (he would stick to you like velcro, obviously) Pig (He was really big--not so much fat, but just a massive cat, and his orange fur had a but of pink hue to it) Fluffernutter (anybody remember eating Peanut Butter and fluff sandwiches? He looked like one of those) Velvet I also had about 4 cats all named Kitty. This was during a less imaginative time in my life. A few had no names whatsoever. I remember finding a tiny orange stray outside my house one day, and it was completely infested with fleas. After a few trips to the vet and pet store, we had about as many solutions possible. The infestation seemed to great, and the poor kitten ended up dying. My father buried her somewhere (I was maybe 6 or 7), but I never knew where. Now I have an all black cat named Neko (another less imaginative name, but it was when I was learning Japanese and decided it was as good as any name I'd think up); it means Cat. I also have three dogs: Ren (a small rat terrier named after Ren of "Ren and Stimpy" fame), Jane (a small boston terrier), and Midi (She is the oldest and largest of the three). Midi is a boxer, and used to be a showdog. Her full name is Wolfgang's Mid Summer Nights Dream (Wolfgang was our Kennel name, and the rest is explained in analbeads previous post, coincidentally). Midi is just her common name of course. I also had a rat named Socrates (pronounced like So-Crates--the pronunication used in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure), another rat named Wilbur (After the original movie, not the remake, but whatever), and a third who's name escapes me. We called them the rat brothers, but I wasn't terribly fond of them. Lastly we have a bunch of fish, all with no names. And apologies on the longwinded list, but I a few others posted nonfeline pets, so I thought I might as well.
