    She is 16 years old.

Please reply as soon as possible.
It is urgent. we need to know what are the effects of this ?? and is this bad thing ?? is it a problem

-- Continue my last post --

I mean, that, many times,, the period happened in less than the 28 days from its previous time.

And other times, it happened in more than the 28 days from its previous time.

N.E. ,, the last time it happened, was from 2 months approx, and didnt happen untill now.

I just wanted to make this more clear.

does she take any medication Ie birth control pills( also smoking pot, drinking, and other drugs) as one of the side affects is iregular periods, so if that was the case it would not be a problem, however it can cause undue stress, if you think you may be pregnant.
and worrying about the periods also can cause iregularity.

No drugs, she was smoking,,,but very very very little, once every 2 months approx.

She cant be pragnant at all.

Ok, i have a question, does musterbation can be a reason for this??

No, pavlos is referring to birth control pills as pills one who is sexually active would take to prevent a pregnancy. They are a combination of hormones and other things that can cause changes to the menstrual cycle.

I don't know much on this topic, but I will tell my friend to check out this thread.

The problem your friend is experiencing, is probably not really a big issue. There is typically no exact set time between when your periods can occur, especially when you are young. Everyone is different in that respect, some people have more problems with irregularity, other people have it pretty much the same every time every month. If your friend wants to fix the problem, and have more regular period, she should probably go to the doctor. One way that doctors can use to regularize your period, is to actually give you birth control pills. Basically your period, and when it happens is controlled by different levels of hormones in your body. Birth control pills basically regulate these hormones, and will make it so that you have your period at the same time every month.

There could be many possible reasons for her period to be like that. It could be caused by many different things, but if you say she doesn't do drugs or anything like that, it probably isn't a big problem. Does she have diabetes? Sometimes having diabetes can cause your periods to become irregular. If I were you, I'd tell your friend not to worry, there's probably nothing wrong with her, and encourage her to go to the doctor because they can help to get her period back onto a regular schedual.

Stress can be a factor. It can really throw off hormone levels.

So, too, can excessive exercise. There are many women athletes who cease menses almost entirely. Hormones are built from fats, and women with extremely low body fat percentages (the aforementioned athletes, as well as anorexics) can have irregular, or completely nonexistent periods.

She's also sixteen, right? Young girls tend to have irregular periods. The birth control shot should be able to take away her periods completely. I went on the shot eight months ago, and since then I've been bleeding non-stop. When I was on it a few years back, I never bled. So the doctor said I might have to be put on estrogen? What kind of side effects could I get from that?
