i just thought itd be cool to let people tell others about music they might not have heard of before, underground and unknowns that others wouldnt think to find out about. if theres already been a thread like this, kill me, im doing another one.

    www.blocparty.tk

bloc party, very groovy, releasing an album for new year, and with these tracks it should do well. go to media and try it out. its just samples though. watch out though, the second one doesnt work.....

    enjoy!!

Very good idea LU. So, here's my contribution, and I will be checking out your suggestion shortly.

A band from my home town of 75,000 people, called the Lady Esther. They are currently without a drummer, but their site is this: http://www.theladyesther.com. They are a hard rocking foursome with funk lines. Very talented group of guys, and I am good friends with all of them. There is an mp3 jukebox with 7 full version songs that pops up (disable pop-up blockers if you want to hear, there is only that pop-up). Genre: alternative rock, with funk and metal ties depending on the song you listen to.

Another, whom many Canadians have likely heard, and some Americans undoubtedly, is Alexisonfire. Genre: Screamcore? Hardcore? Heavy rock? Punk? Something along those lines.

Moneen, is another Canadian band who is currently touring with Alexisonfire, and who has an unbelievable live show. Ask, and I can give you details. See them if they are nearby. Genre: Alternative Rock mostly.

Finally, the New Jersey band Coheed and Cambria needs recognition. They are amazing, simply put. I can't wait to see them in 8 days. Genre: alt-rock, punkish.

I'm not good with classifying music, so I apologize if I offend anyone by misplacing a particular band in a particular genre (as ludicrous as that sounds).

I really hope you guys, anyone reading this, will check out the Lady Esther. They are the main group I want people to check out from my first post.

I have more of their songs if people like them, and want to hear more (newer songs). Just PM me.

They are only without a drummer. The singer/keys, guitar and bass player will continue on, but may not keep the name.

My MSN name is dubbed_unforgiven@hotmail.com. Just add me and ask.
