Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head
    Metallica - St. Anger
    Avril Lavigne - Let Go
    Linkin Park - Meteora

But my absolute best CDs? They would have to be the first two.

Ok for those not paying attention it has to be Powerslave by Iron Maiden.

    But others are appealing -
    International superhits - Greenday
The final Straw - Snow Patrol
Three foot high and rising - De La Soul
Power in Numbers - jurassic 5
Inflammable Material - Stiff Little Fingers
Sparkle in the rain - Simple Minds

This list could go on and on but i will stop there for the time being

Enya - Paint The Sky With Stars

It's just beautiful. It never fails to envelope me and take me away to another place, if only for a brief moment in time.

Prefer The Bends to OK, less "perfect"/"manufactured" sounding, but OK is
    still a truly great album...

Actually, the "perfect" and "manufactured" sound of OK Computer is what drew me to it initially and why I place it highest in the Radiohead canon. In fact, considering the path the band has taken over the course of subsequent albums, I would say an intentionally "manufactured" sound could very well be a purposeful statement by the band. Their methods tend to be as meaningful as their "product" (a word they seem quite conscious of).

there are so many out there, but i would have to say

    Dream Theater - Awake

I'm suprised that no one else (that I have seen - admitedly I did not read each post) has yet mentioned Dream Therater, they are very good - I urge you to listen to them
