Ya, just found out in school today he is coming to speak at my highschool Saturday morning. 600 kids will be recieving invitations to attend tomorrow morning in homeroom. I doubt ill get one because its given out on "academic achievement and leadership" or good grades and ass kissing. Pretty crazy though... it seems that secret service has been checking things out since monday. Security is verrrry tight. Even funnier? Our principle said that this is not the time for protests. Bush sucks, but I still want to go... I wonder what would happen if I held up a sign in the auditorium that said "FUCK BUSH!".... technically, they aren't allowed to do shit... I wonder what would happen if I held up a sign in the auditorium that said "FUCK BUSH!". If you do, and I really think you should, smile and wave at the camera so we can all see what you look like.
Make sure you are ninja about getting the sign in. Maybe get some friends together as a backup and sit dispersed throughout the crowd. 'Fuck Bush' works, but maybe make it a little more political, a little less angry. Something to the effect of 'Fascism Kills' with a picture of stalin, mao, hitler and bush. Or just keep it simple and write 'Nov 2, the lies stop.' I'm assuming press won't be there, so it should say something directly to Bush.
You'd probably get more TV time if your sign read "FUCK KERRY". You could organize your own 527 group, and then you could really have some fun. Media types would issue demands that Bush denounce your organization, you could hold press conferences, all kinds of interesting things. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Nice. If you have any friends on the same line as you, you should definitely organize something big. One highschool student standing up and saying something is a murmur. A group of students standing up and making a political statement to this asshole is a shout.
Tristan you know what is expected of you my son......NOW GET OUT THERE AND SAVE THE WORLDPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Edit: any spooks monitoring this, I am just kidding.... really I'm a nice guy.
I have to say this is the best thread I have seen here in a long time. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Tristan if you get in at the very least boo.
A story with a moral attached. Some months ago the head honco of this great Britain of mine, a Mr Anthony Blair, paid a visit to my place of work. He came to announce the opening of a certain facility over which I have a fair degree of responsibility (well part of it at least). The planning for the visit was very hush hush but I'm told that the cooks and the floor moppers were fully aware of the visit some days in advance and had spread rumours far and wide across the insitution. I should have been there, I should but I wasn't. My Boss, a nameless and shamless professor of outdated practice decided in his wisdom to offer me a two week holiday during the period of the visit. I, of course, had no idea what was planned but the old bugger, I'm sure, would have been well aware. The first I knew of said visit was a splash in the local paper and a two minute segment on the news. It seems I have a bad reputation in certain quarters. Otherwise the day will come and you will quite simply not be there to see it. Lets face it Tristan, nobody wants to look like a c**t in front of the president. Especially not your principal. Good luck with the subversion kid. BTW if I had met Tony I would have stayed cool and polite, shook hands and told him what was on my mind. No big display I would have kept it to a purely personal level Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Oh and one more thing, It's funny how so many people I work with who share my views fell apart and grinned inanely when the PM gripped their hand as the flashbulbs popped. I've seen the pictures and I'll make sure they never live it down. Dee Cee
Tristan: It would be wise to be aware of your surroundings on whether your school is Republican or Democrat dominated. Although I don't recommend this course of action, unless a big group of your friends on the same line do it too, you wouldn't want the suits turning their eye towards you. Me, I'm the only Muslim in my school and one of the minority who are against Bush in this Republican backlash town. I'm one of the very unlikely candidates who would proceed with that action, although I'll regret it later. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Oh sure, I respect him... because he's the president... I dont really like the choices he has made. Id be polite and shake his hand, then ask him wtf he's doing with our country. And yes, thats all that is wanted... to look good in front of the president. Thats why I seriously doubt any controversial questions will be allowed to be asked... after all, the reputation of the school is on the burner, who cares about the country and our freedom! Well, Ill find out in the morning whether im going or not! Ill let you guys know, if not I could always still make a sign and walk down mill road, the road that my school is off of. Goo-night, T
I think it would be great if you held up a sign saying fuck bush but you might get arrested or shot with a rubber bullet, but god it would be great
It would be better if you just shouted "LIER!", when he tells a lie. Or "4 more years of hell!". Don't try to carry a sign. Maybe wear an anti-Bush t-shirt, but underneath your regular clothes.
Hey as a side note...why were those two ppl kicked out of the Garden last night during the speech? Talk about a breech of security.
I think the yelling "LIAR!" idea is good. It would take a massive pair of nuts, but I have confidence in you. Do it. Tell us how many times you can yell it before someone punches you.
